Whats that, and has it allways been there?

Em, I got one in my last game, not too sure if i remember exactly what it does although I remember it being pretty handy. I think if you add him as a specialist he adds 10% production to hammers, gold(or commerce can't remember which:crazyeye: ), food and culture. Or I think he can create a special building which reduces maintainence costs and adds +2 culture to that city. Overall I think Great Statesman give a general boost to everything in the city. If I have remembered correctly, which I probably havent!:lol:

Heeheehee yeah I actually got one tonight by accident. he lets you build city infrstructure which is a 10% boost to the cities food, production + commerce. Very nifty indeed.

Sevo, Ive been playing as Austria last couple of days and keep on getting this error message pop up when I click on a unit. Some sort of sound error with the Austrian sound files?

Downloaded the newest patch and continued with a saved game that had CTD and now no problem. Still got the problem with the new Leaderheads of no skin, but that is really minor.

I've fixed the graphics prob, but haven't uploaded the fix b/c it pretty much requires an update of all the leaderhead graphics files. It'll be uploaded with the next "big" patch shortly, but will require another d/l of the fatty 160+ mod.

I think you're playing with some bizzarre combo of mods there. David of israel isn't included in 2.9 (probably why he's not appearing!), and CivGold IS added to my mod. I think you may have some of the older mod files hanging around on your machine.

because I find it so strange that the comp is getting great persons maybe 10times as fast as I do..and when in a MP suddenly i play that computer, i stop from getting great persons..do the comps have some multiplier to get them?

No--no special changes to great persons. As a rule the AI are a bit more aggressive about generating great people than most human players are, but they aren't receiving any special benefits outside the vanilla game.

:D I'm stoked we got the CTD problems worked out. Thanks again to everyone who's contributed in the forum to date. Looks like at this point the bugs are pretty much cosmetic, text, and/or annoyances (or installation problems), so I can start to smooth things out and clean this thing up. I've got a few more features to work in before we stamp this thing "offical" 3.0, too.

I played a new fractal map and got this weird pangea--it was a giant W shape and I was Victoria at the point right in the middle. As far as I can tell there's no land anywhere else on the map. So I'm in the middle of providing Washington and Napoleon with a beat-down for their bananas and whatnot (Napoleon declared war on me and wouldn't back down for almost 150 game turns...he's not happy...).

Anyway, my family and friends keep referring me to this website. I think it's too late for me, but it might help someone out there, and that's the most any of us can hope for: CivAnon

for future versions, i suggest adding 2uu for each civilization, could be reall nice, check out arma's modpack - he did some really nice job there - he added a lot of units.

another thing,
did anybody had an succesfull complete multiplayer game yet using sevomod?

Greetings. I recently DL'd and installed your(Sevo) wonderfull mod..truly a great piece. I have a question, every so often I get the "thunk" sound effect of discovering a new mineral resource and a message upper left saying "119 has been added to so and so's capital." Is this intentional, if so what does it mean?
Being my first post, please forgive any breach in protocol I may have committed by posting such a question here.

Well, now that we've got the big problems out of the way, we can focus on the details!

I'm just going to start posting them as I come across them.

Sevo, I find it odd that we can produce tanks (Mark V) without the benefit of either oil or combustion, or even refining, steam power (lol coal powered tanks) or steel.

I don't demand full-on realism, but to build a tank without engines and fuel seems, well, odd.

Ditto the Biplane, which can be built before the discovery of flight (but does require combustion)! Neat trick!

FX-endurance has a string reference in the opening menus instead of descriptive text

F15 strike eagle has a pink square instead of a unit graphic
 
Ok heres a screenshot of my problem. The thing is that i get 2 culture points in all my cities from something called "free commerce". And after a little playing i found out im the only player getting this bonus! And it is a little unfun advantage. Anyway, has anyone an explenation for this issue?

hey all, i modified the gamespeedinfo.xml for this mod to replace the marathon speed with a ends at 1530ad speed with only 235 turns...it's basically a even quicker game speed that should end around medieval/rennaissance, i changed the culture growth and great people growth so culture victory is possible...i want to try and change the "united nations" wonder so that it is possible to win diplo victory too. also, i'm wondering about changing the prod. speed of wonders...what value do i need to change in gamespeedinfo.xml to do that?

ok, now for the problem: the game crashes about every 5 or 6 turns and i'm playing as israelis still in ancient era...just wondering if it might have to do with my modification of the gamespeedinfo.xml file...i'll DL the patch(D) to see if it fixes this...i attached the gamespeedinfo.xml for your perusal

(oh, thank you thank you thank you for this mod, it looks great!) (and thanks to whoever added the Israelis as a Civ, they only lasted as a kingdom for a short bit, but what an impact on history, yes?)

Yes, this problem is due to the patch 1.61. I have tried to detect the problem and translate the mod into Spanish but it looks like a very hard and mysterious thing. There are more info into these messages:

I have upgraded to D, but am still having crash problems. This is the last autosave before the crash. Is it my machine?
