Value of factories 8 turns earlier is bigger than that difference isn't it?

And if we don't burn the GE this GA we will have to burn in the next one. the 4-person GA is tighter than the 3-person GA.
 
I say burn the GE, keep passive epp on Roosevelt, and tech AL at 0% until we see what he's researching. As bcool said, we have several cities that can generate a mongrel and we only need 2 more (assumes a GArt isn't a mogrel, but I suppose its at least half mongrel).

In the last GPP worksheet, we had several cities that can give us a mongrel and bcool is building infrastructure that will allow us to run even more priests/spies.
 
I feel like we may have too many backups. We need only 2 non-Caste GP's + GE from Fusion (which we also need to research in time, btw) - which is what I was trying to say a few days ago. Pigs will contribute 2 GA and GP Farm is now working on one more. We've been loosely planning on Kamchatka, Paris, Bermuda, Siberia, London and Beijing all potentially running mongrels. Why I was mentioning stuff like temple in Bahamas. I think we should clarify what cities will run off GP's. Or, did we have a consensus that I missed?
 
I forgot to add, I think factories (and AL) are more important than saving the GE. However, I don't think we can afford to be in Slavery and out of Castes for 5 turns. It will severely hamper our gpp production which is a bit tight at the moment as it is. Also, being out of Castes will cause a lot of gpp pollution if we try to keep the number of specialists high.

I don't think we had a "consensus" but bcool posted his gpp workout and no one said anything against it. I agree that we need to come to a clear understanding on what we're trying to get and where. The biggest issue is that we don't have 100% odds on a mongrel anywhere...
 
Is running GM/GS significant enough advantage to delay factories?
I doubt it. I'm thinking we need the whole set-up: high population, factories in hammer cities, execs spammed, lots of GPs. Obviously we can't do all of that, so we try to find an optimal balance, which of course you have been doing and I'm not doubting any of that, btw. I'm just asking some questions because I'm not able to study the situation as well as you guys know it right now. So if it's burning the GE, no probs.

As for the slavery question, maybe the best is to focus on Mining spam: 1) hub, 2) small cities that can still grow fast with hammers for granary+ch, 3) hammer cities, 4) other cities. I'm not sure about the prioriorization of #2 and #3.

As for planning for the Fusion GE, that's not realistic for the 5-gp GA, I don't thnk because it comes too late, doesn't it? Significantly so, I think.

Edit: another priority for MIning spam is cities with predominantly workshop tiles rather tan coastal tiles.
 
Okay I'd like to play in about an hour. I think everyone has had some input.

I think burning the GE, teching towards AL (probably getting it by T+7)
I'll leave the espionage on Roosy to get eyes on him asap since the steal of Astronomy isn't urgent

PPP is Plan B with building listed earlier, so DoW with Gandhi in T+5 (maybe depends on what I see). I'll try to focus wealth builds in cities that won't produce a great person.

I'll stop if I find anything interesting with Roosy's research or scouting of Gandhi.

I'll try to spread mining inc to 1) hub cities and 2) need a courthouse and can grow 3) cities that will produce a great person and need critical building 4) hammer cities 5) others

At a glance (no time now): I think Moscow will realistically run more than 5 sci, right? We could use it. Pigs should probably not steal the cheap 2600 GP from lesser cities.

Right. Let's not steal Rifling yet so that we can see what he's researching next. Then bcool can post it here and we can see if it impact our plans.
 
he didn't tech astro for some reason last turn no revolt, strange

found Gandhi's navy 2 galleon, 3 caravels in Agra (hopefully the ironclad can handle them...) 7 galley fleet is clear to attack
 
Roosy is willing to trade Astro, but not Gandi. Roosy wants either Chemistry or Sci Method. I assume Chemistry for Astro is the way to go, will wait for it still in the hopes Gandhi offers next turn.

I can see Gandhi research 3 turns to Constitution (will sell him the tech for gold next turn, turn I plan to declare war)

Still can't see Roosy next tech.
