SGOTM 16 - U'nu'sual S'us'pec'ts

@ SH
Once Commerce has built it Observatory & Salon, the next building to help beakers is Laboratory. I don't think we will have the cities building raw beakers, maybe at the end, but probably not.

Yup agreed. Focus Commerce on research. Tolossa actual looks like it may be a high prod city. Bibracte maybe a good culture city as well. Question: Stonehenge obsoletes at Astro - does it continue to produce culture or is that lost as well as all the monuments? And Hammy seems to have some very nice wonders that he may be willing to donate to the cause. As well as a Holy Shrine.

You won't feel so sorry for him after he starts poisoning our water supply. :cringe:

Thats OK, it will permantly have a population of 3 because every time it gets to 4 we will whip another Hindu/Jewish missionary. :whipped:

Captured wonders don't provide culture.

Hmm, hammy does that -so far- elusive Shrine #3. I wonder in which city all the wonders reside.

Looking over the Civ Illustrated guide reminded me that Bureaucracy is both Qin and Hammy's favorite civic. Sal's is Theocracy.

Shame about Vermalion's borders popping, 1N is good.

We accumulate beg points at 1 per turn if borders aren't shared, plus a first time bonus of 25.

I think we got that gold anyway by selling him Aesthetics, part of that trade got him into Beauro though, so he will be at friendly in another 20 turns or so.

Captured wonders no longer provide culture, so the shrine should be the major motivating factor.

Edit: neil beat me to it... quite a few posts ago. :shake:

Yes, we want to sell Hammy CS at some stage in the near future.

We bribed Qin into Beauro !

And SB is Environment, a shame he won't live that long.

F4 - Foreign Advisor (INFO) shows as well in case you need to find in game and you weren't aware.

I screwed up and moved worker 5 to the jungle instead of the forest north of the horses. What should I do? Are we going to have to build that road after we capture Tolosa? Holding for an answer... sorry

It doesn't really matter, it just timed well that we could build it before the war, and the worker would pop out of his borders wehn we dowed.

Build the road where the worker is now, it saves 1 movement point for reinforcements from the Wheat direction.

It can move to the forest with the stack after we DoW, it can safely road it while the stack moves another tile south and then attacks. So it will be roaded the turn Tolosa falls, which is when we need it. :)

I think you can build roads in enemy territory during war time. Just a lost worker turn I assume.

That sounds even more nerve racking, having everyone watch while I make mistakes.

Need to webcast the gameplay. Now that would be fun!
Imagine the posts flying then.

Remember how I said playing turnsets made me :vomit: ? Webcasting my playing would not help in that regard.

Edit: x-posted again! :crazyeye:
