I'm actually trying kossin's raging barb domination game from 2010 that he linked. It's quite enjoyable and I'm playing an entirely peaceful game... I only kill barbs that try to pillage my resources. The rest I shoo away.

In case you weren't aware, SGOTM-17 is over and signups for SGOTM-18 have started. If you're interested in playing with TSR again and you've got the time/desire to play, please sign up... even if only as a dedicated lurker/advisor. This next game looks to be a lot of fun.

Seriously, I don't really understand why keeping the name TSR...I mean the team is exactly like the same auld One Short Straw. And OSS bears an aura of past feats.

I'll be a sad bear if ZPV happens to appear; he's much more of a stronger code diver than I am...

OSS died and TSR became a team for SGOTM-16 when the team split up. ZPV joined FE. LC wasn't planning to play but then he came out of retirement and signed up after the game had already started... but he joined the wrong team. That left just Dhoom and me and a handful of new recruits and it seemed odd to keep the OSS name when most of the team had left. For SGOTM-17, LC and ZPV joined TSR and bbp popped up out of nowhere after being MIA for almost a year and joined us, so it appeared that OSS was back. But alas ZPV and bbp are both MIA again and TSR has established itself as a team... and what's in a name anyway?

Having more than one code diver on the team is never a bad thing. Heck, even LC and Dhoom have been known dig into the code a little... You should be a happy bear!

In my experience, every code diver is different. You in particular seem to dive uniquely. That might sound strange, because the code is the code, but I don't think everyone interprets the strategic consequences the same. ZPV is a great code diver and knows a ton of stuff, no doubt about it.

But no one ever explained worker movement to me like you did and no one ever explained the logic of culture expanding over water like you.

I see no "competition" between two code divers on the same team. That said, I doubt ZPV is coming back. He seems to have vanished, like klarius before him.

I'm really looking forward to working with you on the mechanical aspect of the game because I have a lot of ideas for this scenario. I'm kinda champing at the bit...

Anyway, the most important thing for SGs is team players and synergy. By far. ZPV was great for synergy. That's what we need to focus on.

Regarding synergy and team players, I agree 100%. TSR didn't have a single Diety-level player (i.e. someone who can win at Diety more than 50% of the time), yet somehow we were able to do well last game. I chalk that up how well we played together as a team, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. Let's face it, the sum of our parts leaves a lot to be desired...

I will also try to share more of my thoughts. I tend to let myself crushed too much by others' ideas.
