Well he is offering 340 gold which is the equivalent of 4 turns of teching or 600 beakers. You could try for 2 low priced techs (Cal and Mon), but I am guessing we wont get. He still has 5 cities left and 7 techs on us.

Love the fact we have 'mids, we so need to be in Representation.
340g is pretty good actually, I would just take it.

Looking at the save, we get:
- mids next turn
- GS in 2
- Silver border pop in 7 (galley will arrive back at exactly the same time)

Can I suggest that in 2 turns we trigger a golden age, revolt into Representation, revolt out of Buddhism, gift Toku a tech and try trade for Calendar & Monarchy.

Fingers crossed for culture bridge, and we will hopefully meet the chinese & americans in 7 or 8 turns, when a unit (chariot?) lands on the south coast. Trade for as many techs as possible before switching back to buddhism.

We have a 30% power advantage over Mansa, but we are only at +11gpt at 0% science, so we simply cannot afford to take any more cities.

Once we revolt back to buddhism, we will pick up the +7 from Mansa, and go straight back to Pleased.

Mansa has 590g, so the fact that he is only offering 340g reflects the fact that this is all he will give us. Compass is worth 585b, and we have some invested in it already, so he might give us it for peace.

I hope to get Monarchy & Calendar from Toku, so really we would take any other tech. I would rather get cash from Mansa than one of these techs.

In other thoughts, both Markets in Supercity & Pork Central need whipping this turn, though make sure we still get the GS in 2t.
Aachen could start a forge or market instead of the Cat, I think I would favour a forge first.
Phantastic should maybe be working the bananas.

I agree about switching to Representation. Will we get enough diplo points with Toku in the span of a GA that he would trade with us?
 
Gifting him a tech like CoL (and maybe Med as well) should instantly give us the +4 'fair trade relations' bonus, along with the existing +1 for sustained peace. If we lose the -3 for different religions by revolting to no religion, we will be at +5 and Pleased.

The next turn, we would stop being his worst enemy and he will then be willing to trade techs with us. We could also take the opportunity to open borders with him.

edit: and we want Monarchy because it is a vital pre-req, for Feudalism as you say which is required for Guilds, then Banking.....
