You could start offloading warriors from FishIsland to become MP at either Liz or Shaka's cities. The galley probably has nothing to do.
Shaka: That stack is scary now that he is not at war. Could he surprise us? Like if we leave a worker dangling? Maybe putting him back at war is best. I'd hate for that stack to move. When do we DoW him?

T127 capture Paris. Paris is now well defended on a city. I think we need to upgrade a galley for 110g. We don't want to come up short on this battle. Comments?

The bad news is Mao should be able to whip MoM on T124, completing T125.
The good news is Beijing is defended by 2 archers and it's relatively close to London.
I'm thinking we should plan to capture both Paris and Beijing.

Did someone once say that AIs won't whip more than so many pop or something like that? We should be able to complete MoM on T126 without failgold if Mao can't T125.

We've found Cathy's culture but don't see a city yet.
Agree. We can't come up short and we have a couple other cities we want besides Paris. And we need to hold the city(s) after. Spend it!

Yep, that's the plan. Capture both. I think we can hold Bejing--culturally at least. Not sure what the retaliation force is, but we can at least trigger our GA with it.
Looks like we lose a failgold opportunity. We will have to make the most of Nat Epic.
Sux to lose all the TRs from 2 AI, but we probably have enough others, especially if we can connect Cathy soon.

Which city comes first, Beijing or Paris?
Even with just two archers, Beijing is a bear. They're protective and defending at 9.9 strength, iiuc.

Well, we can't start the GA without Beijing, right? i.e. the GA doesn't extend when we capture MoM.
But there's not much reason to start it until we have Mids/Paya.
So I guess when it comes to the GA it doesn't matter who is first. Whatever is fastest. But when you think about the extra Louis cities we want...seems obvious we get Beijing first.
Didn't you sail the galleon around the wrong side? Isn't our settler now going to arrive 1 turn later? (T126 marble instead of T125?) Fortunately (for you walking the plank) we don't really care about marble being late now that we can't get MoM anyway. But this might throw off your worker timing. We can always build wealth to hold the chops.

Easier, I think, is to gift Mao CoL and hope he revolts to Caste.

If we're going for the castes revolt, we might as well do it immediately. He'll either revolt immediately or not at all, right? That tells us if we can go for the failgold or not.
If we have any option that doesn't give him CoL, that's preferable.
