SGOTM 23 - Turbo Ants

That wouldn't make sense. DoW -> Pillage -> CF -> wait. We either take a small risk and pillage the sheep now or we won't have easy worker steals at Hamburg on the sheep...
Pillage-CF-DoW-steal. But I'd still rather deny the copper. Do we need more workers right now?

CEB is not spawn busting the northern "Key spawn tile" but it is spawn busting the southern one.
Donkey song.

Let's see. The warrior will continue to spawnbust it for some turns while moving to CEB-NE. Then the chariot probably for a turn or so, while the worker finishes the cow pasture, then moves back to chop CEB-NE for the granary. By then the new slave is there and can road in that area until we have another chariot or Fred settles ir or whatever.

Paris needs a garrison. We're going to whip it to death.

Easier: New slave just goes to the sheep road area and roads toward CEB. Hangs out doing pre-chops, roads, slaving away at odds and ends.

Yep, you'll need to do a little dance up there, but as long as someone takes over the warrior can work his way home. Shouldn't be long before Fred whips a settler.

So are you saying that we don't CF in 2 turns but wait until the chariot gets into a position where he can pillage the sheep himself? That will be quite a long time from now.

Yes, Paris needs an MP but it will take the warrior 8 turns to get to Paris. Does it make more sense for Paris to build one after the chariot? We'd have to delay the copper mine though else it could be an archer.

I'm fine either way but to answer your question, yes, we need more workers. :)

EDIT: xpost

We're not going to slow down HBR now for failgold, right? Only if we got Masonry and could save a turn or two on HBR by staying at 100%.

Right. That was meant to be a joke. Sorry for the confusion. I figured you would know that I would be the last person to suggest we self tech Masonry. :D

Sounds like there is some agreement to bring the warrior home. I can use the new slave to help chop CEB's granary and then start roading NE toward Fred until our chariot is in place.

No point in CFing unless we need to. Just watch for his units cropping up out of the blue. Our new slave can road strategically to speed up the chariot, while spawnbusting. (Though I'd still rather deny copper...he says to the deafening silence of no responses.) The chariot can sneak up on the mine from the SW.

No to building an archer in Paris. Chorus -- In unison: :vomit: No to slowing down the copper. :vomit: :)

If we still see Fred's graphs, we can check his power graph to watch out for axe or spear builds.

OK. Warrior is coming home. Can you let me know what constitutes "road strategically" exactly? The worker is currently on the northern "key spawn tile" and can't move on T53. I assume that roading that forest would make sense. It also connects with the road the first slave put on the sheep.

I guess we'd need to plan for river crossings and such to determine the best road segments to build for both 2 and 1-move units.

I guess that's an exercise for the next player. ;)

I still really like the warrior hanging out for sheepPillage and/or another worker steal. Surely we can get another MP unit instead of taking one from the front all the way back home. Yes, Mitchum I'm calling you Shirley :D.
Maybe don't put hammers in the Rax.

sheepPillage $ could save us 1t on HBR.

@WT

I just took one step toward home although he can always go back.

We've already put hammers in the Rax... 12 to be exact with 5 more this turn. Coulda been a warrior right there if we were thinking about this 2 turns ago... Bummer.

We have a chop coming in next turn and we could put 5H into a warrior this turn. That would give us a warrior... 1 turn too late to prevent 1  but we'd have him.

EDIT: HBR in 8 turns. 11 gold at -3 gpt. +25 gpt at 0% research.
