[BTS] SGOTM 24 Xteam

Hello?
fractals - are you going to play your turns?

We are way, way behind the pace of the other teams. We are really going to have to get it together soon and start catching up.

Sorry;

the alert email went to my spam folder, and hadn't seen till now

will play at least part of my turnset now

downloaded the save game:D

Very difficult to interpret the PPP, was hoping for a bit more clarity.

Happy to give green to t44 as well.

This is important for screenshots:-

Please set the following option in the Buffy setting (Ctrl-Alt-O) under the clock tab, uncheck "alternate game clock" and uncheck "completed percentage" while checking "completed turns" and "game date and golden age turns".

4. I still like the idea of letting Birch grow to Size 2 while building a warrior. Once we finish BW, we can time a whip so that Birch goes down to Size 1, but regrows to 2 IBT. Then the overflow goes into a worker. It also gets us a little extra cash. .-Done

Can't open the save right now - where is the barb warrior and how did you manage to see so far from the coast?

I see we have 1 gold and are running at -3 but only 1 turn away from BW, put the slider down to 0% science then keep increasing it by 10% until we are back at 1 turn to complete which should be about 40%.

Sorry.- just played that turn:C

It seems to me like it is a mountain. Look at that grey thing!!!:D:D:D

The barb was just 1 E of the Easternmost fogbusting warrior:D:D:D

on Thursday I've played until BW, what should I research now????????????

I'll wait some hour to give the members time to give their opinions:D

I should finish my turn by tomorrow at midday, GMT -3

If you've played up to the agreed point you need to upload your turn to the server and post the logs here so we can discuss next steps. A picture showing the barbarian warrior you mentioned would be very helpful as well.

[*]Before playing every single turnset, verify that the BUFFY log is enabled.
The BUFFY log is on your computer - the above instruction is on page of the thread, hopefully you can find it.

When you uploaded the save you need to copy and paste the log you show you on the page. I've downloaded your save and re-uploaded it to get the log:-

Spoiler SGOTM Log :

Here is your Session Turn Log from 2680 BC to 2200 BC:

Turn 35, 2600 BC: You have discovered Mining!

Turn 36, 2560 BC: Cahokia has been founded.

Turn 39, 2440 BC: Darius I adopts Slavery!

Turn 43, 2280 BC: Cahokia has grown to size 2.
Turn 43, 2280 BC: A Forest has grown near Cahokia!

Turn 44, 2240 BC: You have discovered Bronze Working!

Please revolt to Slavery on the current turn, as we will need to whip very soon.

I see we're researching Wheel, which is good. We need those cities and resources connected in the near future.

No copper to be found, but I'm suspicious about that hill 2N1E of Oak. There's a high probability it would've grown a forest by now if it didn't have a resource on it. Iron would be the most likely, although I suppose it could be something that does us no good like Coal or Uranium..

Speaking of forest growth, I count 51 in our area, which is +4 from the beginning of the game. We could really consider chopping 1-2 forests if there's good reason to hurry a build. Or we could combine it with a warrior whip to generate cash.

BAD NEWS, DARIUS IS "THE MOST POWERFUL CIV IN THE WORLD" ( OK NOW i'LL SEE IT IN CONTEXT)

Civ4ScreenShot0018.JPG

The chop was a magnificent thing to do, as we will been able to get a fouth city in just a couple of turns.

Feel like we should send a DS to explore in darius lands, as it'll have no problems killing the ocasional warriors that pop out of unfogbusted lands.

I've queded a warrior in oak to replace a fogbusting warrior which may scort the next settler from birtch, as well as a DS, to be whiped if CP wishes so in his turnset.Said fogbusting warrior could also be send to explore, as we'll need a couple of warriors or a DS to traverse that no mans desertic peninsula. When archers start poping, only DS will be of any use, so I'm inclined to have at least the minimun needed for us to not suffer from future barbarian archers.

Till now it's been quite a pleasure to play, although I strongly regret two mistakes I commited, as well as not having been capable of submiting my turnset in less than 10 days. I'm extremely sorry about this.

The final save is Xteam_SG024_BC-1880.CivBeyondSwordsave

After having some feedback I'll upload it.

"6. When it is your turn to play, it is normal to pick the game up within 24 hours of the new save being made available, and to post a new save within 48 hours of that (so 72 hours in total). If you cannot meet the deadline then your team captain may grant you an extension or skip you at his discretion."

I'm Sorry. We should have abided by this guidance

Seems that I was acurate. It has worked for me while playing alone. That details of the terrain that can be seen of unrevealed tiles.

Hi fractals, could you do one more thing? Please open the test game and play it exactly like you just played the real game. Please post saves for t47, t51, and t53. I'll do the rest to get everything matched up.

Going to have it by tomorrow at about 12, if possible earlier, or even by today at night

Please go ahead and upload the 1880 BC save to the server. Regardless of any feedback from the team, we have to upload the game as is.

Don't worry too much about rule #6. I don't think the problem was with being away too long. It was more based on miscommunication about the PPP and what it meant, I think. As we go through a few more turnsets, please just be mindful of how we layout plans and organize information.

By the way, I looked up the Ombu tree. Nice choice!
