[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Have we agreed where the current Cows wb goes? I'm thinking Clams City but not strongly. We have (or will have) a lot of hammers in the NW already...

Clams
monument: ok :twitch:

T79 - Granary; PHmine (chop lands)

(edit: changed my mind to agree with 2 chops)
I think I prefer one chop here on 78 and then building it for MaxOF whip around T84
Half full granary, size 1.
City grows back to size 2 maybe 1 turn late after borders.

@WT I'm glad you talked yourself out of it. :)

I've been keeping the PPP up to date. I'm looking for green lights or further comments/changes. I'll aim to play tomorrow through the start of T80.

Another reason not to explore west with the SB chariot is that it’s probably glory land. Look at it this way, a work boat early on could’ve gotten past the Cahokia culture to the east. That work boat would’ve had to travel all the way south who knows how far around the land to come back and finally find this little peninsula going west from mound city. In other words, take forever to find the glory land.

I wonder if it’s conceivable to determine if one AI is separate from all others using the import export statistics. In other words using the average import export to determine that one person has no trade routes at all.

I guess I'm green light. I can't separate any more what I used to want and currently want done in each city.
Seems like I agreed last time I read thru it.

You agree with everything in the PPP. (waves hand in front of WT's face)

You had trouble separating what you used to want and currently want done in each city?!? If you're having trouble knowing what you want, imaging what I've been going through. I've toggled the MM on a few cities back and forth a few times as the discussion ebbed and flowed. I think I've captured what's been agreed but I can tweak things as needed. No rush, no pressure. I am excited to see what the next 4 to 5 turns brings in terms of exploration and securing the CS sling.

After this, you should probably put out a PPP thru Mids :mischief: (T80-95ish)
Who's up after you? :shifty:
Agreed. That makes the most sense to ensure that everything is aligned and ready (i.e. infra, religion spread, population, techs, etc.) for the Representation + Caste push post 'Mids.

I'm sure that you already know but you're up after me. I won't have much time to play test this weekend (per usual) but it will probably take that long for people to agree on a general plan forward. I can start working on the PPP on Monday.

EDIT: I do think we need to slightly pick up the pace. The test game is great for nailing down every last Food/Hammer/Commerce but it does slow us down as we optimism every little detail. Maybe we retire the test game post Mids???

Agreed. That makes the most sense
Oh, cool. I was just trying to get you to my (85-95) PPP for me :D
Those 10 turns should be in my wheelhouse. I won't have to worry about the basics (gran, lh, wb, mon), and just focus on failgold.
I know you're going to leave me penniless, but you're gonna get me currency, yes?

Notes
Save at the end of each turn
Check that :gold: and :science: matches before pressing next turn.
Check SBs production, watch for a Settler.
Looks good :)

I like the capital building Pyramids on T78 and Silver City putting hammers in Maoi.
Each garrison Warrior costs +1:gold: per turn in unit cost, so delaying producing them until we need them is a good idea unless we have iron under a city tile.

Finishing Deer is a good idea.
After 2 turns finishing that camp, our Worker can just focus on improving Whale City without any distractions.
Whales reaches Size 3 on T85, the same turn the worker finishing improving horse after Deer. :)
The Worker can then improve fur and the city can grow to Size 4 onto the silver mine.

Don't need to use the dangerous "Avoid Growth" button in Whale City if we are working silver on Turn 79.
The city should be at 20/22:food: after whipping Granary.

T75 - Trade Sheep to Sitting Bull for his Rice

That is the only change I'd make to the PPP.
I'll double check everything later.

Exciting to get Oracle done and another source of happiness on T85.
This will be a great turnset with all the exploring.

I wonder if anyone will be brave enough to suggest running 2 scientists in Canal City so we can have a 56% chance Great Scientist on Turn 94? :p
44% Great Spy Golden Age would let us change religions and get into Caste/Rep with no Anarchy.
Try to end the golden age by bulbing Philosophy and switching to Slavery/Pacifism.

On T79, can do silver fur->coast+ clams mine->clam without affecting COL progress. silver will grow to pop 6 next turn and clams can enable halt growth for 1 turn later for maximized food output. It is 6f4c for 5h4c.

You mean on T79 Clam City should work Clams instead of Mine (city goes to 14/22:food:) and use the Avoid Growth button?

Yes, that would work. :goodjob:
Would need to remember to turn off Avoid Growth button on T82 when the city reaches 22/22:food:

That would free up money for Silver City to work coast instead of fur and grow to Size 6 with just enough food.

Silver City can just whip a Library when it gets an angry citizen (Size 7 I think)
Gems coming online T85 will fix a lot of anger issues.

**Edit**
Hang on, with this proposed change, the Lighthouse can only reach 29/60:hammers: on Turn 87.

In the original plan it is possible for Lighthouse to be 30/60:hammers: on T87 and the Lighthouse can be 1-pop whipped in time for 2nd clam to get netted T88.

Maybe Canal City can work 1:food:2:gold: coast on T75 and then Silver City can work coast instead of fur on T79?

**Edit 2**
I was wrong. :o
The Mirrorguard suggestion of T79 Clams with "Avoid Growth" actually comes out with the same :food:, +3:hammers: and +2:science: :crazyeye:
The Lighthouse can be 1-pop whipped T87 at 33/60:hammers: after working plains mine for 3 turns.

I think what WT suggested earlier implies we need to enter GAs with philosophy, higher pop+ more food bin storage, Parthenon, Great Library, National Epic to make most use out of it. Your plan means 1st GA is for getting things started faster and we may need a 3rd GA using Taj and give up Parthenon.

I don't want to 1 pop whip for zero OF :( Just patiently wait for size 4 and whip it properly. Meanwhile, start a library or dun or something.

Ok, our 1st Great Scientist will probably come from Silver City then.

Right, I got carried away.
Ya, can switch to Dun and just 2-pop whip Lighthouse at Size 4.

Any idea on what turn Silver City might whip a Library?

I'm looking at the Maoi gold T78 and wondering if the workboat overflow can just go into Library, and when Library whips the overflow can go into Pyramids.

I think with Mirrorguard's idea getting Silver City to Size 6 by T80, we can 3-pop whip a 29/90 Library on T82.
