I'm currently playing my best game ever.

First time trying Mongols because I wanted to go very militaristic. I usually find full-on militaristic too slow and tedious, but I was in the mood. I had no idea Mongols could extend their settlement limit so high, so that's been fun. I was expecting and fully prepared to deal with happiness issues but that hasn't happened at all. In fact I have the most happiness I have ever had, while also conquering half the world.

Finally, after a lot of conquering, I decided to actually settle a town to get some treasure fleets going. Hilariously the AI settled exactly where I was going to settle just before my settler got there. Usually this would be annoying, but as Mongolia (and Xerxes) this was actually ideal. The city is so much more valuable now all because someone else founded it.

I'm getting FIVE treasure fleets from one settlement. I've built two wonders there, including my favourite wonder in the game: Machu Picchu. I'm getting insane yields from quarters that don't even have specialists. And it's just beautiful.

Playing on Epic speed with long ages. The new map scripts with the latest patch are wonderful. I'm now enjoying this game as much as Civ 6.

This city will be the launchpad for my invasion of the other half of the world in the next age, assuming I can be bothered at that point.

My previous favourite city was Carthage with Petra which was incredibly beautiful but sadly I never took screenshots.

So, I showed you mine. Show me yours.

My favorite city was games ago. It was my 4th settlement of the game. It was in the Desert and had 2 Volcanos on the northern 2nd ring. I had to do a lot of repairs in that city but there were insane yields coming from those tiles like 8 food 8 hammers and a few science and happiness as well. There was 1 tile between them, a camel camp, that had nearly 30 yields by the end of Antiquity. Ended up turning it to Cusco, my Inca capital and put Machu Pichu in it with a few terrace farms. That city got huge.

This was actually mechanically frustrating to have as a capital; limited build possibilities and practically the whole thing is in a flood hazard, but certainly the most stunning city I've had.
That is gorgeous! I can absolutely see why it would be mechanically frustrating but man it is beautiful.

If I get a gorgeous but frustrating capital that's usually when I will move capital at age transition.
