I got this game last week and I have to say it's pretty fun. :D It's simple to get into, the maps are nice and it runs decently on my artifact of a computer. The downside is that there isn't a map editor, despite what previews said. Shame though. I would love to make more detailed city maps of US cities.

And taking advise from another thread; Pictures!

you play shattered union too. I rented the game for the Xbox and wanted to buy it for the PC but i found out that the game is recieving no attention and therefore no patches for the game will come out. There are some aspects of the game that need refinement but apparently the developers abandoned the game :(. Ill probably end up buying the game depending on it's cost but i seriously think they should come out with another "shattered union" type game. If you know of any other game that is like shattered union please tell i loved playing it for the Xbox but shattered union is an incomplete game.

Looks like one of those EE2/RoN/insert simulator clones.

yeah but it's turn based and a lot funner too if they could fix some of those minor gameplay issues.

why cant you post pictures of Crawford texas getting it ?

I just bought this game a few days ago(because of this thread I might add:D ), and I too love this game. The strategic map lacks depth, but that really doesn't matter, as it is the battles that count. I really love how your political rep. decides what special powers you get. This game, I think, achieves a near perfect balance between simplicity and challenging yet fun gameplay. Let us not forget the best part about this game, picking the faction your home town is in and crushing your most despised part of the country(Death to Texas and California:evil: )

i think ill be sticking with Civ4, Rome tw and Age of Empires 3. They are all class games. Age of empires 3 is the best RTS around today easily (if you like rts, you have a decent pc, then wth are you waiting for? its awesome), Civ4 is the best game ever to date imo of course, and Rome is really a perfect game too, as many of you will know.

If you haven't got one of those three then you definity should! Commodore do you have those games?

hey commodore seeing as how you just got the game recently i was wondering how much the game costs?

@diablodelmar: I don't have AoE3 or Civ 4 (I do have Civ3 though), but I do have Rome: TW, and yes I must say, it is top notch in the RTS genre. This game, however, is turn-based strategy, and while I have not been a huge fan of turn-based strategy (the Civ series is the only one I've been able to really enjoy), I really just love this game, and will probably play it for a long time.

@T Raccoon: I paid about $20 for the game at EB Games.

commodore you are missing out on a lot. AOE3 is a brilliant rts game, and civ4 is by far the best tbs ever made.

I don't know if I'll get AoE3 or not, but as for Civ 4, I'll get it eventually. I'm just waiting for all patches and possible expansion packs to come out.

So as not to take this too far off-topic, my favorite faction is definitely the Great Plains Federation (gotta stay loyal to Cincinnati). So, anyone out there who plays this, who is your favorite faction to play as?

damn now i want to get this game. can you play online with this game.

Yes, the game can be played online and on LAN. It also has a hot-seat mode as well.

Just something I read recently... The company that made this game (PopTop) was merged into Firaxis.

if we email them or something maybe we can get them to come out with some patches or something. Maybe an expansion pack. Or quite possibly a remake of the game shattered union 2?

Well, since they were merged the entity which was PopTop no longer exists, so... there's really no chance.

thats a good thing though. The game Shattered union now belongs to Firaxis.

Actually it belongs to Take 2... they own both Firaxis and PopTop (before their merger).
