A note on missiles

Just had an intresting question regarding ranges.

Ranges are as follows

Short Range - Up to 500kms
Med. Range - Up to 200kms
Long Range - Up to 500kms
ICBMS - Unlimited range

Short: <1000 km / 621 miles
Medium: 1,000 and 3,000 km / 1 864 miles
Long(known as Intermediate in real world): 3,000-5,500 km / 3 417 miles

Dalton had been going around saying that Sweden was threatned by this new world with Missles that could hit them from across the ocean, and the only way to save it was Facism. Gerald knew he and his government were losing control. German Political and science ideas were flowing into Sweden at an uncontrolable rate, and Dalton's supporters grew by the hour.

While Gerald tried to remain calm and nuetral, he realised his parlament was losing power, and Dalton was gaining it. Dalton had the power to build new missles, declare war, make peace, conduct trade, and increase the army size. Gerald knew that Dalton had one powerful weapon in Sweden that couldn't be matched; television. Dalton constantly appeared on Swedish television, had statues, and even billboard and Newspaper articles.

In June, the senate elections went underway (Note: There are 100 seats). Gerald's republican party looked to be the favorites, until Gerald was killed in a "car accident". After that, nearly the entire population swithched to Daltons FPOS (Facist Party of Sweden. I know it's corny but...)

On June 16th, results were announced

76 seats FPOS
10 seats republican
10 seats New melinia
4 seats Commie

On June 17th, Sweden became a Facist ruled nation, with Dalton at its head.

Checked on wikipedia. Missile ranges have been updated. ICBMS reach their targets by escaping the atomosphere and going into sub-orbital arcs. This is how they achieve their greater distance.
