Should Cathedrals replace Temples?

monasteries do not belong to the chain; they are in the education chain and upgrade to the university. and anyway i've changed the 10% science bonus into a more general commerce bonus (which splits up into gold, beaker, culture and espionage which is more adequate for education then a pure science bonus) and a static one (+3 per monastery).

only the temple stats are added to the cathedrals! nothing more. the religion specific world wonders like masada have the stats of the cathedrals and temples added to them as they replace both.

one point i changed is to add a pre-temple building: a sancuary (not sure about the name, maybe i should name it sacred place but the dictionary suggested this...). it is very similar to the sacrificial altar but it is replaced by the temples. however i find that the sacrificial cult and the altar seem to be a bit too early for the stone age historically. i'd rather put them into the classic age.

Except of course Malta where there are over 70 temples built in the (early new) stone age. At least three of them have a below ground component to match the above ground ones in scope. Each temple consists of multiple rooms and multiple shrines. Malta was very rich at that time being at the cross roads of trade between Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Holy/sacred site may be a better name to sancuary.

some kind of temples yes - but they are already available very eary, so that fits. but a sacrificial altar like that one you see in the 3d view? it looks much more advanced. and btw. there is not much sense to put two similar buildings into the same tech level. i think i'll put the altar into the classic next update. guess i change the stats too. except that it seems strange that such a building give happiness (i would not be happy if one would be build in my city) and there is already too many :) boni. since there is some more war weariness buildings in my pack the altar could compensate that. (-50% war- for +1  perhaps?).

as for the name, yeah, i'll change it next time i update.
