If they are duplicate threads that offer no new viewpoint, then yes, absolutely.

I think moving all threads concerning unhappy players and banning all "this game sucks" posts from other threads is tantamount to Firaxis/Civfanatics Forum closing theer eyes, sticking their fingers in their ears, and loudly shouting "la-la-la-la-I cant hear or so you-la-la-la-la"

Once again, I'm not talking specifically about any kind of thread, any duplicate thread should be merged. Also, I'm not talking about deleting the threads, just merging the them.

I'm 35 and I know when I see a great game. I played video games from the start.

Civ 5 is a great game.

Constructive criticism is okay.

Constant rants and chidish trolling is not though. It made interesting people leave those boards. Heck I hardly come here now either, because all you see is kids crying everywhere.

Let's discuss strategy, mods, whatever. People who prefer Civ 4 well... so what ? Do they want some kind of medal or recognition ?

It's a Civ 5 forum, let's stop crying and talk about Civ 5.

We can change nearly everything anyway, including the AI, so why don't those people use their hands and brain and change something instead of crying constantly ?

Oh, if "we" (may I assume you've included yourself into that "we"?) can change the AI, then please feel invited to improve the combat AI.
Even the strongest supporters seem to agree that the combat AI is rather weak.

Tactical AI is hard, as people should know if they were trying to dev something instead of crying constantly.

But yeah, BetterAI team will certainly improve the AI, which is easy to do considering a dozen people during multiple months always exceed what a single man can do in a limited time frame.

BetterAI improved Civ 4 AI (not me, Iustus and Blake works)
There's no reason to think Civ 5 will be different.
