I have bad news. The Aztecs declared war, killed my warrior holding the choke. I wonder if the choke provoked them. You can also see in the minimap my land that I' have soon. A warrior is clearing the fog, and once he's done I'll build a dot map.
Here are the Aztec stacks approaching. How many cities will I lose before I can sign peace? These coming turns will be intense.
I doubt for better, as the Aztec land is far away and I won't try to reach it. The only way this could be better would be if I slaughtered so many jags that the Aztecs will give me a tech for peace. But that won't matter, as I'm building the GL, not to mention impossible.
There's a city with a river, 2 forests, and 4 BG, that I think can be a 4-turn settler factory, despite being 15 some tiles from the capital.I've never had a non-core city be a settler factory.
If I had catatpults, this would be a totally different ball of fish. I realistically could get something for peace if I killed enough jags, and maybe even a leader. I'd save it for rushing the FP or building a cav army when I'm ready to attack.
Definately. I've been since I left one warrior at that choke. I'm still wondering if it provoked the AI.
I think the RNG will have to be on my side to win this, because if what the odds say should happen happens, I will lose by conquest.
RNG, I'll buy you a yaght (sp?) , or a banana split, or a donut factory, or a mansion, or a Harley, or a , or a computer with Civ3 so you can play yourself, not just ref. PLEASE let me kill those jags without losing a HP.
Allright, just incase bribing doesn't work, it's time for threatening. . Enough said.
When I said "For better or for worse", I was speaking relatively. Better is losing no or maybe just a few cities. Worse, well, I think it goes without saying.
Don't give up, Own. I have faith that you will beat them to a bloody mess. Maybe you can get a military alliance with China to distract the Aztecs. Remember, I'm rooting for you. Good Luck!
