Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth

...I wonder which civilisations will be possible to choose

I wanna Poland - Poland can into space :crazyeye:

I like how they didn't call it "Civilization 5: Beyond Earth." I feel as though the "Civilization IV: Colonization" title confused lots of people into thinking it was an expansion pack, and not a standalone game.

But what about the engine?

I think the Engine is primarily based off but might be more optimized/changed. Similiar to how different the negine actually was in Colonization but was a child of Civ 4 engine.

Lol currently this thread has 27 views and 27 posts  Everyone is so impressed he has to write something

Oh yeessss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waiting for it 100 years! Hope it releases with GNU/Linux support.

I am beyond stoked.

I hope that the engine is more or less the same, it will make modding much easier (I assume that they intend to support modding for this title in the same way they supported Civ 5, they did so for Civ 4 Col).

I hope they didn't make it..Idk..stupid. Like those "ultra" sci-fi movies if that makes sense. Like little green men (aliens). They should just have the planet resembling earth's geography but look sort of exotic. And any creatures shouldn't be so different that it's corny...Idk if anything I said made sense but yeah.

On first glance I didn't really think that this would be as good as Civ V, but when I read Gamespot's article and all other information I became super hyped. I wish I could pre-order already !

Maybe they'll focus more on cultural/racial backgrounds rather than specific civs to choose from? Either way I almost lost bowel control during that two minute trailer!!!

Also, I wonder about what directions they'll let science branch out. Stem cell research? Cloning? Plasma weaponry? Cybernetics? HAS SCIENCE GONE TOO FAR?!?! :borg:

As a SMAX fan. I am really happy by this. BUT, I have little faith that any company would release playable and complete game in "release date" (It's Civ5 trauma, actually)

Now, I didn't like SMAC/SMAX (and GalcivII actually) because of it's space theme, trailer, graphic or boxart.

I love them due to their lore and how it developing as I play. Story that beautifully woven into game. When I play as a leader, I am building what my character want to build. Envision what my character want to see in the harsh worlds. I love all the quotes and backstory in SMAC.

So, I won't give my hope on it yet. But I wish it worth 50 bucks for many people. I personally want to lost myself into their deep world; where factions conduct war with each other with both words and gun. I hope they would offer a kind of reality that would make me addicted to it.

But whether Firaxis can, or will do that, is their choice.
