You can't play with 31 civs on a tiny map usually... what makes me think that you mod the game in order to play on Sid, which was not my point at all. Anyway, I am aware that many people who voted yes were out of my point also...

2 extra settlers don't really help on 16x16 map. It's 256 tiles, and if you divide by 9 tiles per city, it's still less than the number of civs.

hehe, yeah, in civ4, they should make the highest level unmoddable, only playable with all standard settings.

The only way i can play diety is to reload... a lot!! So, no, I will likely never play Sid. Emporer is a good challenge.

Not true. I modded that one, but completed more SID games, including Conformist's Hexette. That one actually encouraged me to do the 31 civ tiny one. But you're right, it makes things easier. Two turns after my first warrior, I had 6 extra workers... You do have to kiss ass in the beginning though, keep out of early wars, and you'll do fine...

Not yet. But I've only had time to play one full game on Conquests so far, and that was on Regent (because I was playing my brother, who's only just started on the game. 
). On vanilla civ3 I could win at Deity... not sure if that means I'll be able to make it to Sid on Conquests, though...

@Lord Parkin: I'm just winning my first game on C3C Deity, and it's not much harder that Civ3 Deity. Sid is a different story tho.... But with some luck, I'm sure both of us will make it

honestly, I think Sid is tomuch MM Monarch is the most fun IMHO, Regient for leisure. Why torture yourself with all that reloading and always being behind, shure everyone loves to see the underdog win, but trust me being the underdog all the time is no fun for the underdog.

Ack. I can feel myself being drawn towards playing another deity level game.
Best Deity result I have had was playing through to Modern Age, I was falling behind in tech still (the AI was building SS parts) but my war machine was beating up my neighbours. My main rival acheived a culture or diplo win I think
The whole experience was very intense. GOTM 12 i think (the Spanish with an easy start) mind you i haven't been on the net for 18 months now (can't remember who i used to sign in as)
