Has anyone had any problems with the single player features of PTW. Im considering buying it tonight and dont really care about the multi-player issues, but if single play is as screwed up as it appears MP is I'll probably hold off.

So what can those of you who have pruchased it tell me. IS PTW single player working and is it worthwile to purchase it for the upgrades it makes in single player gameplay?

I haven't had one problem with single player.

Buy it! : )

Any problems with MP will be patched shortly. Just as it was with the original Civ 3.

The first time I loaded I had a CTD, but since then nothing.

The additions for single player is worth the upgrade, IMO. I've enjoyed the changes. The AI is a little bit better and the game seems a little tougher too.

I agree. It's great to deal with all these new personalities (the new civs) and see how they act in relation to the old civs. I got kind of used to certain relationships developing with the old ones. The 8 new civs creates quite a few new combinations of possibilities.

Those Vikings, I tell ya. They go to war faster than any other civ. Geesh.

Single palyer is just fine. Most MP problems are due to bad pings. One red player will make the game unplayable for everyone. If everyone is green it's ok (a little slow, but playable).
