Single Player MP: "Leader Passing"

XRW, what turn was that you played up until? That count what would be Turin's turn alone, or both his and yours...? I was going to redo the math to balance this out between our turns, so I'd like to know where you ended.

240 exactly.

OK. We'll extend FlyingSwan's session to 120 turns (50% longer), to end at 360. Then MarigoldRan will finish the game still, but adopting it 40 turns earlier than he normally would.

This sounds like an amazing idea.

Only problem is that I'm not an advanced enough Civ player to play about Warlord.

Don't worry, you'll get better if you try. Prince isn't too far away from Warlord, and I bet you could put up a good fight on it once you get up to noble. That is, if you want the cost of everyone blaming you for loss of victory ;)

I'd invite you, hell I don't care if you're bad. Although, I'm thinking about going Monarch or Emperor on the next game, even though that may be above my level. Thus, it might not be very fun for you. But, keep your eyes open, we might even stoop down to Noble one of these days...

Lurker comment: @mediterreania: Visit the Succession Games forum (subforum of Stories and Tales, which you'll find a link to in my sig).

This is indeed an amazing idea  and Succession Games are quite similar (but with discussion). After this game, I'd like to suggest the series goes there. Call it "Blind SG" or something. Who knows? This might get more publicity.

Actually, Warlord is a struggle for me. I'm most comfortable playing Chieftain.

I suck. :(

^^ Yeah, the phrase "Leader Passing", was just a toss-up phrase that I came up with. "Blind SG" doesn't sound too bad, either, but we'll work on an official title.

Also, and word from FlyingSwan? I think I'll send him a PM now.

@mediterreanian: I played on Chieftain for ages.

Now I play on Prince. It just takes practice

Im back, had a series of unfortunate events happen, last week the cpu wouldnt boot up,but before I could get it repaired I ended up in hospital, just got out today and this is my 1st look at CivFanatics for a week so glad you paused a bit.Looking forward to seeing what kind of empire im going to be running.

So little time and so much to do..
Spoiler :
I continued with the war build up in Police state civic and beelined optics and guilds. With a freindly shaka asking me to join a war agaist victoria I couldnt refuse and soon vassaled her.Didnt even attempt LIb but concentrated instead on getting astromony and chemistry to get a good navy together.

Dropped a Gspy whose still knocking around exploring Tokus Land.Found using spys and Cataphracts very effective.hopefully Mariogoldran will take the hint.

Nearly one whole month later, and I'm surprised this thread is still alive and crawling without the game being completed.

So MarigoldRan is next? He's scheduled to end game (refer to my old list on page 2). And FlyingSwan, did you play 120 turns, like I suggested, up into ending at turn 360? Or end at 320? Either way, Marigold probably has an extended play time.

@floatingpants.no i just played the 80 turns.Marigold definately has an extended play time.Im not saying I left the empire in bad shape but Id say its a long slog to win from my save.

@XRW.
Spoiler :
My plan after vassaling Victoria was to take Toku out, hence all the galleons. With Shaka at freindly he wasnt a threat,I had a change of mind though when I realised he didnt have Machinery yet and saw how many EPs I had against him.

When I attacked initially it was in 2 stacks which is why it may appear the armys spread about.I had 8 cataphracts in galleons to push deep into shakas terriotory the turn I attacked with the SoD(made up of maces, cats etc which you built:goodjob:) on the nearest enemy border city.I had spys everywhere ready to take out shakas metal resorces and cause city revolts as soon as the cataphracts were at the gates. The cataphracts that are in random places are probly just healing up after taking out straggling impis.

EDITIt doesnt make sence to me having knights as part of your SoD because your losing there movement adavantage. That little stack of knights backed up by spys took out 4 citys with no casualtys. If id waited for seige backup I would of been facing more defenders.
