You have about 500,000 infantry units, although the first gulf war with America destroyed most of your tanks. You have limited air power over the Americans since most bases were destroyed in 1991! You have about 20 Mig-26. If you want to increase your military power how you will do it, remember time is not really on your side.

Never the less things are not all gloom and doom, you still have a lot of rockets namely Scuds (Russian built missies). They are very effective against Marin convoys, and battle tanks. The so-called weapon of mass destruction the United States assumes you have is half real. Here’s the deal not long ago you managed to equip some of your Scuds with Chemical weapons, and the range has increased as well, so you can not only hit Israel but deep into Saudi Arabia too!

You can Fire your Scuds into other territories and bring others into the conflict, although it’s not advised. Saudi Arabia has refused to stop being an ally to the United States along with half the Arab league! So your so-called brothers have deserted you. No one will sign a military alliance with you! You’re on your own!

With diplomacy dead, and Bush has given you 48 hours to leave! how would you play the second gulf war!

I would launch scuds at Israel prompting them to enter the war which would infuriate its neighbors into declaring war on Israel creating massive mayhem all across the board.

Very well. Honestly I don't see how anything militarily could have stopped US invasion or even inflict higher casaulties that the regime didn't try. Even with cemical weapons.

I am serious. Faking leaving would have bought some serious time. As such, the tactics they used against us were the best imaginable. You think the terrorist insurgency wasn't planned? The RG filtered back into society very well and is now fighting very effectively.

If I had weapons of mass destruction, I would get rid of them/hide them. Using these weapons would only solidify world support for the Americans against me. I enjoy the status quo with the U.N. paralyzed forcing the Americans to take unilateral action against me with nations in protest.

Then I would withdraw my most experienced, well-trained, and loyal units to Baghdad. The remaining units would be positioned in other major cities, close to "sensitive" structures such as hospitals and schools. The idea is to increase the difficulty and hesitation of the Americans' attack.

Finally, I would employ all measures possible to maximize American casualties, specifically dead. I would deploy mines and other improvised explosives in buildings and other places as traps.

Hopefully the Americans will speed through the southeastern portion of the country so fast that their supply lines will be strained once they reach Baghdad. Fighting guerilla-style battle inside of the city will provide my commanders with the ability to inflict greater casualties on them.

Furthermore, if possible, I would have female American soldiers captured. They would then be videotaped being gang-raped repeatedly for hours and slowly tortured to death. The tape would then be sent to Al-Jazeera and others. Captured male soldiers would be skinned alive, their clothes put back on, and then crucified where they will be seen by the enemy. Captured officers will be drawn and quartered on tape which will also be sent TV stations. All the while, I would have slipped out into Syria with millions in cash where I will live like a King, forever.

Oh, and I would cut off the penises of all capture males and stick them on pikes where they would be seen by the enemy, as well.

That is, of course, maintaining the evil factor of Saddam Hussien. If I were JohnHSOG, I would never do these things

I would dissolve the army into small cells, merge with the population. Not creating any big targets for the invasion but sniping and sabotaging as much as possible. Look what two men with a rifle did in the US last year and imagine 500.000 people like that running around in a country. Dirty dirty, but effective effective. It is impossible to defend against, any retaliation by the occupying force would only strengthen me as it would further push the population into my fold as tens of uninvolved people are killed for every one of my fighters.

The Americans should be glad that they are not facing a real organised and ruthless guerilla. It is neigh on impossible to defeat it. What use is tanks, artillery and aircrafts when you have no targets? How can you control an area if everytime your soldiers venture out they can be shot in the back from a window and when the other soldiers look back there is no one there?

The only thing the US could do is really to be nice to the general population and make everything nice and cozy for them and if I had been a leader that would be good enough for me. Win win situation.

But if you mean actually stay and fight, and try to win, without caring how....well I'd have to agree with blackbird, launch Scuds with chemical weapons at Isreal and Saudi Arabia, cuasing a miniture World War in the Middle East. As the Coalition tries to keep it from escalating, send in suicide bombes disgusied as refugees to Kuwait, and try and blow up as much stuff as possible, mostly military aircraft and tanks. After that, probably what they've been doing.....

Uh ? You mean like the Anthrax Sadam had which has a shelf life of only four years ?
its pretty much a useless liquid mess.
Or nerve gas but you dont have anyway of deploying it in any effective manner.
You might have a few chemical artillary shells but again shelf life is over rendering it useless.
Dirty bombs are total useless it takes an entire year to start killing people.

The site has been under the protection of coalition forces since early April, but the premises were reported to have been abandoned by guards for a few days. Television images show that the premises are damaged but there is no indication of the extent of the damage, particularly to the seals put in place by IAEA inspectors who worked through the nineties to halt Iraq's nuclear activities
