OK. Grimjack, you can have a slot in ST2, and with Stuck withdrawing there's still one open. EDIT: CoffeeCup just claimed it.

Sirian, yes, I'd like you to start us off with a map in ST2. Just make sure it's a fairly normal-ish start (no starting on an island while everybody else is on the pangaea. ) You can start the game thread too when it's ready.

Civ - Germany
Map - Small, Pangaea, 40% land
Climate - Arid
Barbarians - Roaming (let's have a few)
Opponents - let's leave them random
Difficulty - Deity
Victory - Any except diplomatic

Oh, and I must wonder if Sirian's "cause to review the Civ3 game rules and consider various tweaks" has anything to do with the "Maybe I am keeping quiet about a few things" comment in the Conquests thread on RBCiv. I will shut up now before Sirian has to kill me.

Sirian: Would you be interested in making ST1 and ST3 a "competition" on the same map rather than 2 seperate maps? Then again, that maybe will defeat the purpose or testing out your mod thoroughly by trying different configurations. So...never mind!

I'm still interested. One comment about the map though. I think we should select either continents or archipelgo (sp?) as several of the mods involve troops that would be quite useful for such a game (i.e., specifically, marines and paratroopers). I also think that we should make a concerted effort (in our game) to test each aspect of the mod.

I'm sorry but I accepted two new PBEM's and I always prefer that over SG's. So I will return to my usual policy of a maximum of 3 SG's and skip this one (I will soon join new SG's from Hotrod and Nad).

JMB - Sirian's already playing the huge map game on an archipelago which will almost certainly give them plenty of experience with those units. I'm hoping to give the longbow/musket/cavalry/rifleman balance some heavy attention with our game. Not that they won't play into Sirian's game, but cavalry decide games far more often than marines and paratroopers do so are worth an in-depth look. Good points and suggestions, though.

Ill sign up for ST4 - The Emperor game. Ill go for the Emperor game as Im still searching for my first Deity victory. It might help if I played a Deity game through to its conclusion though .

If called upon I will captain ST4. If Sirian has forgotten me from RBCiv, Im a bit too quiet, I do have Epic experience. Oh, and in mirror of what Dark Savant said...

Just to throw this out there... Some of Sirian's changes anticipate things that are going to added or altered in the Conquests expansion.

And some of his changes are completely off the mark altogether from what's happening in Conquests. Which are which is up to you to figure out for yourselves.

I must admit that I have never finished a game on huge pelago map with min. land at Deity so.....let's go for it !

I would rather use a different start than Sirian's so I will generate a start of my own and open a new thread, hoping we find enough wackos to sign up, Rubberjello and 6th Gen.Texan have reserved spots of course.

I would rather play with a 6 player rotation because of time constraints, so we need 3 more.

Sure you can lead the group. Im not sure I'd be a good example to follow, I tend to find I'm a bit too passive. Now we come to the question of who is to generate the map. I think it would probably be best if Sirian (if he would be so kind ) did it for us as he could edit it here and there to ensure no dud starts.

Errr...if 3 more "wackos" are not found, I still would like to play this mod in an SG. I'd be willing to downgrade to size large map if that would attract more chumps....errr....I mean glorious compatriots.

I would really like to have another player or two. I'd also like to have each of the players check in that they are still interested and to get some ideas for map/civ preferences.

Sirian, should we discuss this here or should I go ahead and open the ST4 thread and have you generate the game there once our preferences are finalized?

Sirian, I don't know if this fits with your intentions for the mod, but I have a suggestion that seems appropriate... the Berzerk, it seems to me, could upgrade to Marine.

You've beefed up both, so becoming a guerilla isn't quite the sorry fate it was, but I'm sure that those proud berzerk units that carry their colors into the industrial age would be much happier as marines than as guerillas.
