Sirius Intra-Team Pitboss Game!

Looks like you've ended your turn according to Civstats. Just Altjung to play now. :)

Tech trading is off, but because you are on a team you share research. There is no need for alphabet to exchange techs between teamates because any tech you develop will automatically be given to your ally as well.

Looks like this game as well as the Test Pitboss are down... Dave's server must be playing up. Hope he can fix it soon. :)

By the way, since we never got any more votes, we'll go with the plurality for the house rule about early wars:

House Rule

No declaring war on anyone before 2400 BC / Turn 40. After this time, anyone can declare war on anyone freely.

Righto, will do so in future. Thanks for getting it up again promptly. :)

By the way, I'm going home to visit the family over Easter, and may not be able to log in over the long weekend as a result. I presume some other people are planning on doing something or going somewhere over the Easter weekend too? If so, maybe we should take a temporary break on Thursday and restart on Monday or Tuesday. Or we could pause over that period, or whatever. Thoughts?

If it's just me though, I won't hold the rest of you up. I guess I'll do my best to log in, but I might have to automate moves. Just figured I'd check in case other people are in similar situations. :)

I think we can wait for you, Lord Parkin. The game isn't going anywhere.

There's a good suggestion in the other test game about extending the turn timer rather than pausing, so that nobody will miss a turn if they don't have access, but if everyone happens to be able to play, the game will keep going.

I think that's a perfectly reasonable way to respond to a big holiday like this.

:agree:

The extended timer is a good idea. Dave, I suggest you change the timer when you see this post, as it doesn't take effect until the next turn, and I'll be away shortly after this time tomorrow. ;)

Hopefully I'll be able to access the game from home and thus it won't be an issue, but in the off-chance that it's a problem, it'd be nice to not miss 4-5 turns in a row. :)

Timer updated. Met myself (failed to notice my scouts were moving toward each other), popped gold.

I think, but don't remember for sure, if you meet one civ in a team you meet them all. When I viewed maps from outer space it didn't seem like spacings were too close. Meeting in 5 turns is a distance of 20 if both sides have a scout and move in fairly straight lines over flat ground.

Thanks for updating the timer.

Heh, well done on meeting yourself. I haven't done that yet, officially. ;)

If you meet one civ in a team you meet them all, that's correct. And I also think that there *should* be a decent amount of room for everyone... we're on a huge map with low sea level after all, even if we do have a few extra players than the default.

fed1943, you forgot to end one of your civs' turns. ;)
