Sit on your allies resources to block their workers.

This is why I never accept Open Boarders from anyone, can't see any reason to do it (unless you are fighting a common enemy) and if you do you end up contending with AI units aimlessly wandering your turf getting in the way of your units. Anyone have a good reason to accept Open Boarders?

Rejecting Open Boarder requests hasn't seemed to spoil any relations, as the AI will apparently DOW for completely random reasons. For example, in my last game one of the AI civs made a comment to the effect, "You have a huge army there fella and can probably kick my tail." Next turn he DOW'd and yup, got his tail kicked.

I find this hillarious. They sure as hell had Zapp Branigan as GG. "Let's tell them that they have a super strong army and they will be so confused that we just roll over 'em"

I don't understand why civilian units need to be blocked by units I'm not at war with. My worker can't even move down my own road if there is someone I have open borders with sitting on the road.

Funny, I had a Zapp moment just last night. The AI declared war and as I watched his swarms of pikemen die attacking my entrenched infantry & artillery this popped into my head:

"You see the killbots have a preset kill limit; knowing their weakness I sent wave after wave of my own men at them until they reached their limit and shut down."
