Skaven development thread

LMR: If you're referring to the Kamen Natril guy, I believe that was made by using the "gargoyle" morph for Mike 3 (part of the Head and body morph pack, which I DO have)... As for adding rodent teeth... I should be able to do that by using two modded cylinders or cubes, so, yeah.. now all I'd need to do is figure out what for texture to use, and see about maybe buying the DAZ M3 Monk robe...
 
Nope, I haven't had time to work with the rat tank lately (business trips and miscellaneous fun winter activities), but I'll get there in the not-so-distant future :)

In my opinion, there's only one "gripe" about the stormvermin/C'n'P-temple-guard: The weapon doens't look correct ;)
 
Concerning the stats of Skaven units (especially their -1HP-issue).
I agree with mrtn. Rather than decreasing their HP's, why not just decreasing their defense-value.
Nightrunner: 2-1-2
Clanrat: 2-3-2
Gutterrunner: 5-2-2
Rat swarm: 1-1-3, only -1HP
 
I think that the "spearman skaven" should have 4 defense, I think it would be too unbalancing otherwise (a 6 attack swordsman wins 68% of the time over a fortified 3 defender, compared to 54% over a 4 defender). We could however decrease their attack value, make them 1/4/2. :)
I'd also like to base the Gutterrunner on the swordsmen, i e give it 6/3/2 instead.
This is assuming that it doesn't have a bow, does it? ;)
 
i have the assassin set to the same stats as the dark elf assassin (6 attack, defence, special "assassin" flags)

so if the gutterrunner had 6/3/2, it would be upgraded to 6/2/3. is this a problem.

don't worry about the clanrat having -1 HP. it would make everything too unbalanced.

i still believe that the nightrunner should have -1 HP and be a scouting unit. -1 for the rat swarm is fine.

I agree. :)

Yes, they should get dragons, unless they have some other, similar unit they can get (like Chaos get demons...). Game balance, again.

I think it should be both more brown (i e increase the saturation) and darker. The biggest reason I want it darker is that you see some spots in the tail, and those look very reptilian.

BTW, do you have any idea on how to make a Vermin Lord, or is that just a wet dream ATM?
