I agree with every point you make. The Muslim world has deep deep problems, the fact that many countries can't even provide pure drinking water and still relish in crucifiying people for bizarre crimes, is something I would deem as a rather significant problem. If they wish to remain in the stone age, they can happily suit themselves, as long as they don't declare "holy war" on the rest of the civlized peace-loving world.

I'm not saying that the peoples of the nations don't want to get out of this misery, but they obviously lack the resolve. Western values can be embraced without destroying their religion, but the propaganda machines in Iraq and Saudi Arabia churn out exactly the opposite BS.

This is getting philosophical, because you could say that about anyone and anything. Truth and belief are two seperate things - as witnessed by this very thread. You poll implies that a terrorist act happened because of the beliefs of Islam. In my opinion, that is a bigoted view of Islam as a religion.

An analogy would be that Catholicism has to change because Catholic fanatics firebomb abortion clinics.
