So you want to see gameplay, huh?

Yeah, if you can't catch it live, you will be able to watch the replay on uStream :)
Please post a link here so people don't have to go searching.

Perfect time for us Central Europeans for some nightly entertainment. Better than TV? You bet!

Thats 8PM GMT! Sweet. I'll have dinner sit down with a beer and tune in.

Thanks 2KGreg.

-> no download :(?
I don't have DSL, streaming is quite a pain for me.

You can get plugins for web browsers that let you download streams/VoDs. I use Ant Video Downloader with Firefox. The downloads can be quite big, the hour long Starcraft 2 VoDs I get are about 700-800 MB.

Is this a new form of reality TV?

Watching someone play a game rather than them sat on a sofa!

Actually stuff like that has been done for years. Koreans, for example, are a lot into e-sports - even with public viewing and stuff

Yeah but, they're crazy.

This looks good, and honestly, shows that they are confident. I remember when Napoleon: Total War was released a fan did a live stream on the day of release for other fans, because we were all so pissed about how Empire: Total War went down. Basically it confirmed our fears. I.E. the game was slightly better than ETW but still had a lot of flaws and mostly just eye candy.

If they are willing to have a live stream before release and answer questions, and tell the fanatics about it, well....I think that is a very good sign.

Thanks for the hint, but that will probably not help
I would download it at the university, where i can't install anything, so it's not an option :(.

I created a poll on the 2K Forums for something like this:
http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85607

I'll be using that to decide what era to have the save game be in. :)

What about civfanatics' own leader pick poll?
Edit: Sorry, just saw your reply on the thread mentioned below. Thanks Greg!

I put up this thread with a poll so people can vote for which civ they'd like to see 2K Greg playing.

Would you base you leader pick on our HUGE amount of votes, Greg? :D

Nice for us Europeans that hour though I think you should upload the video latter to the website after the steam so that other people can watch at another time.

Yes but that's 9 p.m. in the UK and Ireland (we're still in British Summer Time).

Nice, then it is 9 gmt in Amsterdam meaning I can easely catch it. :D

It's 8 p.m. GMT whatever city you're in. :p
If you're in Amsterdam you should tune in at 10 p.m. though. :)

Wait, so GMT as a reference point changes when the british are all mungo jerry and stuff?
What cheek, I says! This is outrageous and very disagreeable indeed! My countenance when I think "Imperialism" ->

Great timing for us citizens of the glorious and mighty European Union! On a serious note, this is 9pm BST yeah? I have the spare time to watch this, should be a spectacle.

Edit: Yeah, confirmed 9pm.

GMT is the reference point (well, technically speaking UTC is); it never changes. All time zones are set relative to GMT. So, for example, EST = GMT-5; EDT = GMT-4. The UK uses GMT in the winter and BST (= GMT+1) in the summer.
