Softening Up

The U.N. is a factor because enough nations support it to make it so. If Israel didn't have big backing, most of the Middle East would be at war with them. Also, the superpower monopoly on nukes is nearing its end. They aren't cutting edge any more. Soon, almost every nation will have them. Wars of conquest are still possible. It's just more difficult. With the right friends, it could feasibly happen.

I wish everyone would destroy there nukes and the world could slug it out again fairly. Or better yet get rid of all guns and mech and go back to good ol swords and shields. That would be fun, not really though because death is not fun but lets put the pussy weapons away and see who can really fight it out on the battle field
