Solver's Unofficial BtS Patch

No. I am a Steam user (not for Firaxis games, though), and my biggest complaint about it remains the same as 3 years ago - the inability to access previous patch versions.

Well that sucks BUT, I have to give Steam and D2D this much, they both had the patch before us retail users...a first, as far as I know, where the direct downloaders got a patch before the retail users! IF this trend continues they'll get the REAL patch before everyone else as well.

Are games cheaper if you get them via Steam? What did they charge for BtS?

It's 29.95$ for BtS on Steam. Whether it's cheaper depends, I suppose, on your location. There are both advantages and disadvantages to buying that way, anyhow.

Will running this file actually down-patch (or what's the correct word) your game to 3.02 if you already have 3.03 installed?

I don't think so, you may get lucky but your best bet is to go about it the painful way of uninstalling it, reinstalling it, and updating back up to v3.02.

I just tried it... said you had to uninstall v.3.03 first.

Would it be possible to look at the infinite loop bug(s)?

If you look at the code :p

Reminds me of an old joke about inefficient british local councils. [local, politically elected persons - who do not represent the local popullace, who vote them in, only the party they support.]

NewsFlash. "There is reported to be a large hole on the M6 near Glasgow."

"But locals are told not to worry, as officials are looking in to it.". ;)

Solver, AI vassals created as colonies are still renouncing their founders in the latest version. 2 out of 2 so far....

I created several colonies using Solver's latest patch, and none of them declared renounced me. Is this affecting only AI-created vassals? Or am I just that good? :)
