Some ??? about Vassals and Victories

1) Do Vassals try to pursue Victory of they own ? I was sure the answer would be "NO!!!", until in my last game, Hannibal - my Vassal - started to build Space Ship parts... Kind of weird.

2) Can i win Conqeust, while having a Vassal ? (Eliminate everyone else, so its just me and the Vassals left ?) Or do i have to go for domination, once i have a Vassal/Colony ?

Yes, Vassals still try for victory.

Yes, you can win Conquest while having Vassals - you aren't required to eliminate them.

Yes the vassaled AI will try and win (culturally and diplomatically also.)

Yes you can win conquest with a vassal, see my RPC Ghengis game in my signature.

Is it possible to get rid of a vassal without giving cities away ?

^^No, except if you Dow someone near him and he loses +50% of his territory ( "You were unable to protect us" )

No, not if the vassal is an election candidate.
