Some Civ 5 Annoyances...

Well, not really, google brought this to me when I was searching for annoyances in civ 5. DO you happened to know, instead, how can one move units in one simple right click?

Um, yeah. Select a unit and right click the destination tile.

That will not move anything. One needs to hold down the right key for at least a second, until blue "available to move to" borders appear around your unit, white circle with number 1 appears on selected tile and unit finally moves.

Perhaps I should record a video if even my second description does not clarify the problem. I am using brand new laptop with windows 8.1, if that helps...

What option did you select when you loaded the game: DirectX 9 or DirectX 10&11 or Windows 8 - Touch Enabled?

Windows 8 - Touch Enabled should only be played on a touch screen tablet. If you select Windows 8 - Touch Enabled and you are not playing on a tablet, you will get numerous glitches and errors, such as what you describe.
