Some patch stuff from in-game

Wait, so you can't build a quarry on stone or marble if your city is on a plains tile? Or is it that Stoneworks can't be built in a city on a plains tile?
 
Most things we weren't sure if it replaced... Well it just straight up buffs <.<

Arabia's Bazaar still copies Luxs
Germany and Ottomans maintain the old bonus and get the new ones.
Still going down list.
 
Another detail - with Representations -33% culture/new city settled modifer enabled, my 2nd city increased next SP culture barrier from 80 to 85 which is quite modest.

Could be huge in non-OCC cultural vic games, depending on how much influence the otherwise nerfed culture modifiers (SPs & Wonders & Broadcast Tower) will have.

Yeah, as already mentioned the HG is 10fpt which is HUGE. When built my 6 pop capitol would get it 7th citizen in... 5 turns after getting the 6th citizen, normal game speed. Now imo a must-have wonder if possible. GL still gives free tech.

To bad that my previous mod saves are useless at this time. :cry:
 
Don't know if this has been mentioned. Playing as Rome and Legions (who costed higher hammers than swordsman before) now cost the same as swordsman. A good buff for Rome.

I loved legions before; now they are monsters. However, the apparent huge buff (fix?) to ranged combat will mitigate this advantage somewhat.


@Agent Cooper: That reduction to the culture cost per city makes sense. Previously one of the ways the devs were hindering expansion was by limiting your SP options; now that happiness is so much harder/later to come by it makes sense to not have other limiting factors.
 
OMG Ranged units do Full damage (archers at least!)

Pre-patch ranged units were doing 66% of their listed ranged STR (so an unpromoted archer rarely, if ever, did more than 4 damage).

Wow, that will really increase the importance of ranged units. Does this mean that cities will actually fight at 100% of their listed CP as well? THAT would be HUGE!

Excellent. With archers cost as much as warriors, they will be fantastic city defenders. My idea about a Tradition opening with 4 cities in mp mode will have a significant advantage, using 100% extra city ranged strengh bonus(fixed) with an archer in it and maybe a second one behind. Come on here nerfed longswordmen!(and no Steel slingshot from a GP anymore) :lol:

Fast expansion followed with extra defence for a good empire set-up to get an extra advantage in the ren era will be the way to go(similar to last patch, but with a bit slower science rate(and pop. rate) and easier to defend).

Too bad i got the patch news 30 min before going to work! Have to wait 6 more hours! :mad:

12:c5culture: from each barb kill with Aztecs and Honor :D

You should also mention that Jaguars now start with woodsman.
They were already one of my favourite civs, now with buffed Honor they seem a lillte OP.
 
Patch but no DLC thats a first. :(
