I'm only playing civ4warlords for 1 week or so and i was wondering if u experts can give me a bunch of tips about what should i do 1st/2nd with Stalin (my favorite tiran :D) if i remember it right he's aggressive and industrial ... so can some1 pls tell me what military should i use at the beginning(cuz if he's aggressive i guess i should have a edge when it comes to military... at least at the beginning ) cuz i'm kinda tired of playing defensive with the largest nation on Earth

I used to play civ3 so i guess it won't be so hard to get familiar with this game. at least i hope so :D

Get the Oracle, since He's Industrious, and use it to get metal casting for cheap forges, then build a big army of swordsmen/axemen with a few spears and destroy your nearest neighbor. just a tip

Welcome to the Forums!
Brave jay's strategy is probably the one I would use; the noble challenge game is doing a game with Stalin. Check that out for some more hints!

We need more Stalinist updates on the motherland in the NGC thread though.

:agree: I know!

[offtopic] I think this is the second time that he's left us hanging at about 45+ posts. I've been having serious trouble winning easily at noble and I though these threads would be a lttle more fast moving than the ALC's and the Immortal challenge, where that's primarily learning how to trick the AI; much easily done on monarch than on noble. I'd be willing to start a similar thread just to learn more; I'm really just a voracious learner at heart. to start the thread, though, someone would have to tell me how to take screenshots on a mac.

Don't ask me, I've been to a conference talk by Bill Gates, he clearly showed that macs were inferior to Winows XP :lol:

Shame he couldn't get his bluetooth phone to work though.

EDIT: I suspect Bill was a bit biased though in his delivery

Stalin is...odd...a bit.

Aggressive = warmongerer
Industrious = builder

Aggressive = go for grens in renaissance era
UU = cavalry

Kinda odd to figure him out.

However, ***he is the ONLY aggressive civ to start with mining***

Can you say axerush??? Go bronzeworking first, pray for copper and a close neighbour. If you have one, take him out starting with the capital. Afterwards, settle down and build some wonders then go to war again during the renaissance.

If you don't have copper I would say go for 3 cities plus wonders (look for marble and/or stone--let the presence of one or both dictate which wonders you go after) then look to war in the classical/medeival era once you land some iron (+ catapults).

tnx i really appreciate it . i just managed to conquer my 1st civilization here(Rome) :)
