華夏
Huaxia
Huangdi looked over the village of Shou Qiu. Once he was known as Gongsun Xuanyuan, but that was a time before the Mandate of Heaven called. Now he was the Yellow Emperor, destined to rule all the lands of China, and perhaps one day, all that was under the heavens. But for now, he was merely Emperor of his village. Of course, he thought, an Emperor needs a palace. Shou Qiu could no longer be a village when it would be the future capital of all China. But even as he thought, workers were already upgrading his home; tearing down the sod and rebuilding it out of mud brick. Similar construction was underway in the rest of Shou Qiu. One day, he hoped, the city would have beautiful parks with ponds filled of fish with scales of gold and gardens of beautiful peonies and chrysanthemums, but that was in the future. For now, Shou Qiu was only a village, though one that was well on it's way to becoming a full city.
