Let's get started. Remember that updates after this one will be posted in this thread. I will notify you all of updates and keep a link in my signature. The IOT Board thread is 100% for posting of orders so I can quickly churn out updates. This thread is for roleplay and all the other banter. Note: You can use the IOT board thread for decoy orders and give me real ones via PM.
Update 1:
Link to video.
The year is 1605. The Ming have collapsed and a variety of successor states and empowered vassals have arisen. Will the Ming recover, will the Mandate be claimed, or will China be left in a state of disunity for countless generations? Time shall tell.
Map:
Random Events:
None on first turn.
Stats:
All humans start with 1 Espionage tech, 1 Military tech and 5 spies. NPCs' espionage and military info is hidden.
Notes:
-You may specify the number of armies to be sent on claiming missions; you must send an equal amount per claim for convenience sake.
-You may claim one province away from every one of your borders.
-NPCs instinctively claim everywhere next to them
-Overlapping claims result in a border skirmish. This hurts relations between states but may also give your people a morale boost.
-Remember that 10 gold = 0.01 Infrastructure, so that'd give you a 40% boost this turn.
-You can declare embargoes to cut trade through your territory; your navies can also block any of the sea zones demarcated on the map.
-Spies are generated automatically.
