I only took 10 turns; I think it's better at the stage where at. Players are welcome to take
from 5-20 turns though.
12 workers
21 spearmen
5 swordsmen
2 horsemen
17 pikemen
1 musket man
10 knights
2 catapults
the insidious Chinese sent two raids against us during my reign. The first time a single
rider landed on our west coast, and our brave knight fended off his vicious attack. The
second time, a more determined effort came against our fledgling city on our northern tip.
Two groups of their evil riders landed, accompanied by a group of swordsmen. We attacked,
but some of our knights were slain, and we did not have enough to stop them from razing our
city to the ground. They shall pay dearly for this.
Meanwhile, I didn't feel I had enough troops to launch an assault on Athens. I retreated and
regrouped around Sparta, building a temple there to improve the culture and stop it from
flipping. Otherwise I concentrated on developing civil improvements.
We need a better road network. Getting troops from the south-east of our empire to the
south-west is a nightmare!
Now, who is building all these regular units! I even saw a regular knight! That's a no-no.
Our military at the end of my reign stands at:
15 workers (+3)
21 spearmen
1 swordsman (-4)
1 horseman (-1)
17 pikemen
1 musket man
18 knights (+8)
2 catapults
Education comes next turn; the next ruler will doubtless have to see to beginning to build
universities in key cities. Time for our scientists to overtake the blundering research of
these other so-called "Civilizations"
ok it seems that we now have:
