The quality is incredible, no doubt...

But I feel compelled to ask... Did they SERIOUSLY actually where those pajama-looking 'uniforms' - They look utterly ridiculous to me...

pajamas?, well, yes, why do you think they were so popular with the indigenous women? spanish slumber parties were all the rage in the caribbean pre-1900

but seriously, it was called "rayadillo" or "mil rayas" (a thousand lines)....from afar, it probably looke more like a baby blue

and think positive : when they had to go to sleep they were ready, same to stand up. This probably made the spanish army very efficient, less time lost in dressing or undressing
