I was just looking through the credits of Sid Meier's Pirates! when I saw this screenie:

So now, rest assured, there is a CivIV team already working on the game (heh, for the sceptics ).
Confirmed almost 100 times now.

Firaxis is a fairly small company. Sometimes people have to drop what they doing to pitch in to help.
