how does one spread religion after scientific method is researched...

because it obsoletes the building s that are used to create missionaries, if you dont build them before you research it, is your only option to switch to organised religion?

By the time you obselete monastaries, most religions are spread far and wide and cities themselves will be able to spread religion to other cities.

Yes. How many monasteries have been built in our world in the last few years? I always make sure to build one or monasteries of every religion that finds its way into my borders, even if Scientific Method is just round the corner... just in case...

Or switch your civics back to Organized Religion and you can build missionaries without a monastery.

Most religiosn are pretey much everywhere by then, anyway. If you have been deliberatly spreading your religion it will be in everycoty (more of less) by now.
