Spring Patch Info

My $.02

I'm going to go with a positive here on the delay in this patch taking so long, and a prediction. A few reasons:

1. Given past track record of releases having minor, non-game breaking, but obvious bugs, what they found would have likely caused a mini revolt in this community and as such, saved us from ourselves :) But given the impossibility of easily rolling back for the masses -- a bad patch kills any momentum this game has. Right now I enjoy playing, even with the bugs -- but not being able to play for some reason would probably kill my interest until a new expansion.

2. In normal dev and release cycles, if they use agile, it is likely we will get additional elements early that would have been planned for a "summer" release. That would also explain why there is a dead silence on the updates -- they are working on additional updates to get into this patch, then heavy testing -- which is forthcoming.

I remember when Eagle said it could be May -- I thought he was being very conservative....but now that we are in May..... :)

Given the above, I predict at the earliest next week (I hope I am wrong), and I predict much bigger than what Anton discussed in the video.

I'm just going to dream about the patch coming along with Byzantium + Ottoman Empire DLC featuring Pamukkale natural wonder, Grand Bazaar buildable wonder (or Ottoman UD) and Conquest of Constantinople Scenario :P

Btw. Before the patch comes out, I'll be playing EU4. My Arabian Colonial Empire needs to grow!

I went outside.

I work outside so that's little gain for me. I'm playing Elder Scrolls Online, but they also have new content coming with some new rules that make me want to wait playing my characters until it goes live. At least they have a set release date.

I'm enjoying Offworld Trading Company in the meanwhile. Soren and Tin make a swell combination.

Still waiting on a functioning Hall of Fame before I return to Civ VI for a full game (when I do play, I just hunt achievements).

And Immortals with a melee attack (right now they are archers who replace swordsmen, which is bizarre).

Are we there yet?

Spoken like a true Marbozir disciple

On topic: I wish Firaxis would throw us a bone. Reveal how they change Magnus or something like that.

Is it Soontm yet?

PS: How do I do superscript?

Finished my France game just now and I noticed I had Blackest Queen achievement done. Weird that this achievement was only completed by only 0.5% of global players. Catherine is so unnappealing to players...

Yeah, I only finished my first France game shortly after R&F came out.
The civ used to be really weak, but the intel combat bonus and new spy missions made France much stronger.

On an unrelated note, I can't wait for the patch. Haven't touched Civ 6 in weeks and can't bring myself to start another game when I know they'll soon fix joint wars.
At least the delay gives me more time for Divinity: Original Sin 2 and another XCOM 2 run. I just killed the damned Warlock and now I'm coming for the Assassin with a Colonel Templar.
But...please Firaxis, get it done before Pillars of Eternity 2 comes out, mmkay ?

She was the first leader I tried when Vanilla was released. Not because I was drawn to that civ (far from it), but because she was the first leader listed alphabetically.
