Spring Patch Info

Maybe they’ll nerf Mongolia in the patch? There’s someone on Reddit who managed to get +40 Combat Strength with Mongolia. Spicy.

Aspyr also seem to be saying on Steam that the next Mac update will include both the March Patch and this Spring Patch and or will be out shortly after the Spring Patch hits PC - although, tbh, I’m not sure I’ve correctly parsed and understood what’s being said. If true, I wonder if this suggests Firaxis have been working on the x-plat issue.

Great to hear, made my day. Just had to uninstall Bootcamp from my Mac so this is really great.

Gaming industry can never be wrong saying the word “soon”. It could mean days/weeks/months/years or never at all.

To be fair, it has become a meme in the gaming world.

Especially when you write it "soon™"

That's not anything to do with QA. It's just a package shuffle.

What does that mean, if anything at all?

It doesn't have any relevance to the upcoming patch. I'm not sure what it actually means though. Civ is in a bunch of packages. Some make sense, like all 2K games. Others seems to be related to countries. I think some of them have to do with Steam sales. Sometimes it just looks like a mistake, especially when it gets pulled back out really quickly like this time.

Should I start a game or not, knowing I won’t finish it for 4-5 days...hard choice

Keep in mind, you can usually keep going with games in progress even if a patch comes up, however there's a chance a lot of things could get screwed up. So you can always start a game knowing that there's a strong chance your world will experience a large "earthquake" mid-game that shakes up the calculations :)

I caved and started a Nubia deity map, huge map but 8 civs on continents so there’s lots of room. Maybe skewed it and put hot conditions for more desert. I feel like I’m cheating a bit because I settled Mt. Romiera with my 2nd city and have good goody huts mod so I’ve found about 20 goody huts so far (most I’ve had with the mod)

If the patch drops I guarantee my mods will kibosh the save, it always does.

This seems like a strange coincidence, doesn't it?
Was this one of you? Or is there some common relevant inspiration to this Tweet and this Reddit post that we missed?
Firaxis just tweeted this pic. Speculate away folks. :)
