the sprite flashing occurs in relation to yield icons (I believe) and is exacerbated when a UI mod is used that overlays sprites near them.

This occurs on a beefy macbook pro with the integrated AMD Radeon Pro 5500M as well as the discrete
Intel UHD Graphics 630

version on startup screen: 1.0.7.9(211110)Metal

video with CSUI mods (flash is much more noticable)

there is also a third case I wasn't able to readily reproduce... the flash occurred without CSUI and in two different spots at once (that seemed to be associated with the bottom of hectares instead of yield icons

as an addition, the save file above has exhibited TWICE a graphics freeze and game crash which takes out the GPU.
if you follow the instructions I show in the first video (with CQUI enabled) you will sometimes see a freeze just after the flashing starts to occur.

As I said... I've seen this twice, now -- didn't mention it before because I thought it was unrelated.
I have not seen it without the extra ui mod, however.
