Every once in awhile I get a notice that one of my tile improvements was destroyed by the enemy.
I don’t see any enemy in my territory so I assume it is a spy enemy.
1) How can I see which tile improvement was destroyed?
My territory is too big to notice small things like that.

2) What do I need to do in order to see enemy spies in my territory?

3) How do I know what is my sabotage balance (if there is such thing)?

4) What do I need to do to prevent my spies from being revealed while in enemy territory?

5) Any other good Spy tips/strategies?

A good strategy guide for espionage is here:

1) Check the turn log which can be accessed in the upper right corner of the game screen. If you click on the event in the log, the map will center on the tile where the improvement was destroyed.

2) You can't see spies in your territory, but to improve your chances on catching spies the best method is to have more espionage invested in the player that you think is conducting the spy missions against you.

3) The espionage balance of points can be accessed via the espionage screen (F9?).

4) Have more espionage points against the enemy then they have against you.

Edit: a good guide for spy detection mechanics is here:

The useful shortcut keys are:

1.) CTRL + TAB -> opens the events log window from where you can click the message about your improvement being destroyed and the screen will be centered on it.

2.) CTRL + E -> opens the espionage screen.

BTW, you can also see the espionage ratio with a leader by pointing the mouse on his name in the scores on the bottom right. Hope that helps :)

Check the turn log which can be accessed in the upper right corner of the game screen. If you click on the event in the log, the map will center on the tile where the improvement was destroyed.

Just after it happens you'll also see an Espionage icon on your screen, much like the one you get when there's an enemy unit near your borders. You can follow that to find out where the sabotage occurred

Also having a Spy sitting on top of your resources will help reduce the sabotage. Spies are the only units that can detect an enemy spy, though you won't actually see them. You'll only get the message that a spy was found and thwarted from it's attempt to sabotage you.
