Days since my save was posted: 24
Does this have a lack of interest or something? ;)
Best guess: back to school frenzy.

Aaah!! (Goes crazy and runs around screaming like a maniac for an hour.)

Okay, it's been a month since I posted the save. Somebody has to be able to play it. I can, but I just played. I don't think I should play again immediately afterwards. Unless of course, that's okay with other people.

Your are right, it would be bad manners for you to continue playing, after you played the last set of turns. And even after a month, with no one picking up the game, it still feels odd.

And as close to the end as it is, I don't see a lot of lurkers wanting to play, because they (well, I, anyway) would feel like I was denying someone who played the game earlier a chance to finish it off.

I don't really know the procedures or the guidelines, but if no one picks up the game by the middle of September, then for this game (and only this game) I (as a lurker, not a player) would think that you could freely pick it up and finish it.

lurker's comment: If you're going to play out the rest of it, I'd recommend doing it in the Stories and Tales section with a link back to this thread for anyone interested in reading it from the beginning. I don't think it would be proper to finish it alone in the SG Forum.

I also agree with CB that I'd wait a few weeks longer.

I will definitely attempt some turns. I think I have a few hours tomorrow.

@gmaharriet and commandobob: I agree with you there. But I might not have to, since it seems that Whomp has taken the set! :)

:( Too much RL again today. I will try again tomorrow night.

Okay then, I guess D'artagnan can play if he wants to now. ;)

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but how do you make Mapstat work? :( I forgot and can't figure out how.

I'm going to assume you already have it loaded on your system (I have a desktop shortcut for it.).

After you open MapStat, click on...File...Open...then browse to the most recent save of the game you are playing and it should show the info from that game.

Note: Sometimes, if you've been using it for a different game, it will load the older game first. If that happens, just click on the current one a second time and you should have it.

Thanks for the help! And note me say "I forgot" not just "I can't figure out", telling you I have used it before (there's a screenie of it earlier in the thread)

Okay, this is ridiculous. It's been over two months now and no one has taken the save. So now, I'm taking it.

Come on! Where is everybody? I want advice on the massive giifts and government shift thing! ;)

I'm here Chox. I'd really like to play this thing but it seems like I've always got something going.

The key is to finish the UN. From there it's a matter of extorting all the other Shaka's into voting for us and signing a MA against the next biggest Shaka.

Okay, but when should I do this, and should change govs?

Okay, No advice. I guess I'll just do it my way. Which is: No changing govs, waiting until 2-3 turns before UN completes to form MPP's and do massive gifts.

I looked at the save yesterday Chox. You're 3 turns from radio and fission will take no more than 8. That means you can start the prebuild in the ironworks city now with 1000s for UN(It only needs 100s so you can give some to other cities). Get all the cities off wealth and on tanks and bombers. There's 2 Shakas that are more powerful. Use the cash for short rushing and rushing. It doesn't do us any good sitting in the bank.
