Flamand
The Visible Elder!
OK, I included the missing cityscreen buttons in my interface thread. Just replace the ones in the cityscreen folder...
Flamand said:Basically you are supposed to mess around with the different civ, start wars between them and take over their colonies in no time. It's a quick conquest without a challenge... In the last version I gave them teleport ability to go back to the Continuum again. But I guess the Q have too many abilities to be played well by the AI...
Changing history can be fun...Tzar Sasha said:I did that. The Vulcans never made first contact with Earth......
jened said:downloading now, thanks to everyone who has worked on this mod. i will miss the hurry button especially but that's your perogative and i'm just thankful for more star trek civ stuff![]()

Any remarks on the gameplay?
Unless Flamand made more changes than I can see, there should be a small wonder available to all civs. This wonder auto-builds colonists every 20 turns or so. It was originally put it in to assume that most colonists come from the home planet.wenamon said:OK... Heres some more updates on the early game
no free techs to start makes it hard to build anything but federation ground 1
the civilopedia for vulcans is dilithium? lots of civilpedia stuff probably still has to be done
how do you build colonists?
YES. If you have the music on MP3 you can replace the civ3 music. Just look for the mp3 files in the Civilization III directory. Create an identical directory structure within the StarTrek Scenario. Rename your StarTrek MP3's to the same names as what are in the Civ3 folder. DO NOT overwrite your orginal civ3 music, unless you make backups and want ST music in ALL games.wenamon said:is there any way to use star trek music instead?
It is hard to get the cities to grow. Biosphere is the equivalent to an aqueduct. You will find if you play the map over and over or just look really carefully and you will see where the "fresh water" sites are at. Look at the solar systems. If your "ground" units can walk around a space tile, then that tile is a "fresh water" tile and should have a colony planted next to it if possible. Note suns are "mountains and volcanoes" so if you can't walk comletely around a space tile because of the sun, it should still be a "fresh water" tile......wenamon said:biosphere civilopedia says it allows cities to grow past 2... but alpha centauri doesnt have one and cant even get past 1
Flamand said:@Tzar Sasha: great idea about the pad. I'll try to give it a shot... Do you feel like helping me in developing the mod further? I really could use an equal partner in this and since you are one of the original developers it woudl be great...
Tzar Sasha said:I can't make any promises to you. I was just a backseat burner so to speak. I attempted to make a few units and do some graphics. I gave a few inputs on gameplay, ideas and stuff, but I wouldn't say I was one of the original developers, just one of those original enthusiasts.... I'll continue to help as I can, but again I make no promises.....
Flamand said:No need to redo any of your units, I like them just the way they are... In a next version the Tactical Sphere should be included as well I think... Why was it never used? Because it was never on the show?

Somebody has to stop the Borg Queen's ambitions...Tzar Sasha said:Well, I guess I can scrap what I've already done for it.....
