Great job! The offer sounds good to me... :) Please make sure the available ship models are in 3DS or MAX format, or it will be quite a challenge for me to convert them... If they're interested I could give them some of my meshes in return, under the same conditions of course... :D

Yes, I especially liked the Vulcan Warbird model, we just have to integrate this one, it looks awesome. It could be a modern (TNG or Post-TNG) Warship for the Vulcans.

Regarding the Models on this site, can You use those SFC models/meshes?

Btw. I clarified how the models from BOTF2 could be provided and its completely up to you, they can either provide them in either 3ds or max format. I will try to finish my list now, incorporating as many ships from their shiplist as possible, since this might save as a lot of work I guess.

Honestly it seems that BOTF2 will be a promising sequel to BOTF.
 
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that file type, what program is that for? 3DS max doesn't have any convertor for it... :( The same goes for the MOD files of the battleclinic site, but at least I can use the textures from those models...
The warbird is pretty cool, but quite some work if it can't be converted. I'll think about it... ;)
 
I honestly have no clue, what type of file it is, I guess its maybe filetype just used for the ST SFC games, doesn't matter though.

I think its much more important, that we can get all the models from BOTF2 in the format you need, and they have also posted the shiplist now, under the same thread that I posted above, so you can have a brief look at that if you like.

As I said, I will fill our gaps with their models and I hope that it will be possible for you to use the BOTF2 models, since I don't have a clue how big they are, or if the color palette is ok, or how hard it is to convert an existing model to fit into CIV3.

So once again, what format do you prefer for the models?
3DS or MAX??? They can provide them just as you like.
 
Now THAT is a large list... :eek: I hope you don't expect me to do all of those? :)

MAX would be best for me, DS sometimes has texture issues...

I'll check out the conversion of those models, but I think I already tried that some time ago.

Would you care to do some unit making yourself? That would be a great help...
 
BTW: I already have a large number of MAX meshes that I still need to do, so before you start asking duplicates perhaps you should visit www.startrekaustralia.com

Umm, ok I already orderd the ones we might need, no worries though, you do not need to make all of them. Regarding www.startrekaustralia.com, I would scrap those, since the guy that hosts them is pretty picky on copyrights,...

I will post the Shiplist as far as I got it yet, all ships for the major races are done, I need some more time to work out the rest though. And, Umhh, don't kill me, but it seems that there is still a lot of work to do ... **hides**

Using ST Australia meshes is still ok as long as you give him credit for his work. I used his model for the DY-100.

Hmm, they only thing I can do regarding this point is to ask for help in some Forums that are ST related, to get someone for our project who is capeable to make 3D-models.
 
Making the 3D models is not the problem anymore, I think I have most of them by now. The big work is converting them into Civ units. But I'm working on it... :)
Finally got the Crystalline Entity right, hope to post it tonight...
 
Ok, I'll try to make most of that list. I would include some non-canon Borg ships as well from ST australia. You did a great job on that list! :goodjob:
I was wondering, would you be interested in making tech icons? We're still missing tonnes of those... Or perhaps some more unique resources? Although I think there might be enough already.
 
I will first finish the the list, making all the stats and add the missing stations, and shuttles, aswell as the ships for the minors.

Then I will gladly work on the Pediaicons and other improvements, as I had planned. We shouldn't forget about our Spacestation plans aswell as the mines and sattelites. I have at least to test, how we could do them, allowing Spacestation capture and so on.

Today though, is a day off CIV, since I am celebrating? my ## (censored)birthday :eek:

Hehe, I will continue working asap(tomorrow) and assisting you on this and no worrys Flamand, this Mod will be done, and it will be great.

Thank you Flamand, and know that this is a real good present, since the time of the Constitution class, was right away my Star Trek time. I am quite sure, that I haven't missed much off an episode from TOS. :D
 
Just a quick question regarding the mod...I installed it and it works, but everytime anyone (me or ai) colonizes, they automatically suffer a space race loss and are destroyed. The same occurs if any unit is destroyed. Any help fixing this would be appreciated.
 
I'm afraid I can't help you with that... :( The Space Race victory is disabled in this mod. Are you sure it's not a local problem that can be solved by reinstalling CivIII and /or the ST mod itself?
 
I've reinstalled both, and the problem still is there. In the scenarios, space race is active, and disabling it via the editor doesn't help, it's still active in-game, with no interface button there to disable it.

Edit:It's working now, i changed a few things in the scenario properties again and this time it straightened things out.
 
Really strange... :hmm: you're the first to post this problem. But I'm happy for you that you managed to solve it :)
 
I had a problem when playing the XXL Map as the Federation: Andorians, Vulcans and Tellarites which should be in the Federation in later Eras stayed single Civs and even attacked me. :( In fact, there's no chance to conquer them all .So I had the Idea that the game should start in 2161, when the Federation really existed. Or is there any way to unite the Federation and the Vulcans, Andorians etc. at a specific point? :confused:
