Star Wars: Return of the Mod

I thought about using the tech tree from the orginal Conquest game. In the first era have the Separaists Crisis (Republic Techs such as the Military Creation Act, Rothan Shipyards, Clone Weaponry, Republic Fleet, etc) so that I can introduce and give information on the various units that were made before the Battle of Geonosis, just give these techs to the civilizations at the beginning of the game. That way I won't have a single tech that is responsible for ten improvments, five wonders, and twenty units (Half of the infrastructure and the units will already be in place at the very start of the Scenario). To give you an example, in the Conquest Scenario of Napoleon, half of the techs in the first era are given to the players to unlock the improvements and units that the players start out with. Then in the Three other eras have them represent the two and a half years of the Clone Wars leading up to the Rise of the Empire. Does this sound better or worse?
 
Guys, I'm thinking about making other types of mods: a battle for a planet (Hoth, for example) with only bonus techs. Citiess to be called "bases" and both factions to have full aggresion. How ever, Reb. units must be defensive, while Empire's- Offensive. Barbarians will be Wampas and Goody huts- Ship Remains. Time units will be days. Only conquest victory avable. Eras will be-

That's a really long period of time shoved into one era.
 
Yeah, but in RL, tech advances is sort of an exponential type thing. Really slow to begin with, and then it speeds up.

I personally believe it should be in hours or minutes.

The battle wasn't that long, and it kinda ended up in a massive slaughter of rebels.
 
I agree. The Battle of Hoth wasn't really a battle. The Rebellion just retreated due to the overwhelming firepower of the Empire. The Battle of Endor would be a better scenario to do because even after the Emperor died the Imperial fleet fought on for four hours and even had the upper hand in terms of ships, fighter squads, and firepower. The Battle of Endor was a battle was was more or less evenly matched. Try some of the Clone War battles like the Conquest of Muunilinst or Cato Neimondia or Second Battle of Corusant or....
