Hmmmm, congrats for the increase in population.

However, (no more Mr. Nice Guy) I seem to have a problem. I have 6 zip files which, from what I can see, not one has a(n) installation file. Where exactly does everything go? What is this? I've got multi-umpteen files with no clue where they go.

I do realize that I came in very late in the mod (beta 3, to be exact) but still, one would assume that at the very least one would have zipfiles which unzipped to the correct areas. No word on files to back up first; no go. :(

And she's the cuttest baby in the world :D

:band:

Now you just need :sheep: to make her sleep.
Actually congratulations to the mother. AFAIK she still did most of the job, didn't she ?

As it is a beta, I did not take time to detail everything, sorry.

First, unzip the __main.zip into your Civ3PTW/scenarios folder.

Then, create a "units" folder in Civ3PTW/scenarios/steph/arts folder, and unzip all the other zip in this new folder.

I hope I didn't miss something, I still haven't sleep

Ok, this will probably seem like a quite silly question, and no doubt quite a Noob like one, but I gotta ask it anyway. First I'd like to say I love what I have seen of the mod in general, I think it works really well and can't wait to play it multi player :D

I unzipped the files as suggested (ie units to the art folder and main zip into scenarios and so on...) and the game played great, I spent many hours happily expanded my German empire peacefully until I ran out of land on the continent my own civ, The Greeks and the Carthaginians. Anyways with the advent of horse based units I noticed the Horse resources were all in Greek land, but only a little way across the border, so I gathered my armies and trundled off to strike down the 2-3 cities in my path....

Imagine my suprise when I smashed my way into one city, only to find the entire empire collapse straight away  Anyway I liked the game, so put it down to sheer fluke or something, and shortly later got into a minor skirmish with Carthage, again I struck down just one minor city, only to watch the entire empire (both were 20+ cities, so not small) collapse again

Now I'm sure I've probably just messed up somewhere and I'm missing som totally obvious thing I should have done :( But I love the mod, and it spoils it when I build up a massive army only to have it wasted

Any help would sure be appreciated :( This is my first mod I've installed, so I'm not totally familiar with the process at this stage, so I'm not questioning either your mod, or instructions, as I said, I've probably screwed something up somewhere....

Thanks in advance, oh and one last thing

GREAT WORK! :goodjob:

When you start a game in the rules box you have elimination checked you should uncheck it.;)

So I did, never used that before, never saw a point to it, so didn't know what it did  Oh well, ta, will try again with a new thing :goodjob:

Can someone explain to me what that checkbox means?

If you destroy one city, you destroy it all?

Thank you sir, you're a gentleman and a scholar. :D

Only one question; in the main zip file there's a units_32.pcx file. Where does it go?

Never had any kids of my own but my sis had 5, they're REAL cute when they're small. Wait about 14 years! Will we be seeing any piccies here?

:goodjob:

get in the game and go to the Civilopedia then go to Game Concepts, now go to Short Game Modes and it should tell you all you need to know.:)

Nowhere... It should go in the Steph/art/units folder, but it is already included here through the StephMod_Beta3_LandUnits1.zip file.

Just something I forgot to delete

Okay, I figgered that. I put it in the right place and then found out there's another in one of the other zips. By the by, this is one of my favorite mods. Thanks!

Not here, but not to far Pictures! :D

As my wife is still at the hospital, and my son at his grandparents, I'me alone at home the evening.

So here are the mech, MBT and modern armors of the 4th era. As well as a few other units.

Next step : artillery and helicopter, so the land units for this era are finised.

Steph,

I was thinking, the second era, it kinda runs out of wonders when you are still having to uncover another 20 more new techs.

Is there any way to throw in two or three wonders towards the middle and end of the 2nd era?

Just a thought, as you can imagine, that's where I am at!

Grace and peace,
Keith

After conquest, when all the flavour units are done, I plan to add some new buildings and wonders, and also check the texts in the civilopedia.

It will be limited changes, that could come in small patches.

There will also be some patches with new units when a nice new animation is released.

Thanks Steph. That reminds me, what will hapen to the scenario format with conquest? will it change like it did between Civ3 and ptw?
