OK, I can use the hittites for "early ottomans".
About Maya and Inca : they could be nice, but only for a short period of time, and I'd like to have civ interesting to play for the whole game.
 
Maya and Aztecs should use the same units in the two last eras of the game, but in the two first(and also the two most people play before they stop) they would have different units. And what about all the AC units you made, they shouldn´t go to waste;)
 
After a quick count, I have at least 72 more units to add, and I could do this immediatly (including many aircrafts, and some SOE armors). This doesn't included 4th era ships yet.

Here is my question : will all the players of Steph's mod buy Conquest?

Personnally, I will. As it includes some very interesting features (the main one being Air defense), I first thought I'll wait for conquest to add the new units.

But on second thought, if some of the players of my mod won't buy it and stay with PTW, I can also try to finish a PTW version before doing the Conquest one.
 
I don't know that I can afford Conquest just yet, so I would be very appreciative of a PTW version.

Just my thoughts!

although I am sceptical about the ships- they seem too small in the lineup:

Uhm- although, after downloading SOEBeta, I am not entirelly sure which units will be added/updated...
 
HI

I got a problem with Steph mod. The game crashes becouse it has no CogSmall.pcx.

Wuzz up wit this one? Is the mod playable at all?
 
can you be more specific?
I thougt if I download ALL Steph's files the mod will run without problem - like DYP
 
The Cog file I beleive was accidentally missed out in one version. However, if you keep looking back through the pages, there is a patch you can get for it to fix the problem.

But what about the arrows in the science advisor screen. A have no arrows. Is it on purpose????
 
There's no arrows because there's so many techs. If it had all the connection arrows it would be a complete jumble up of lines. So the Techs are grouped in categories, like Domestication, Tool Use, Warrior Tactics, Religion, etc.
 
OK - great! Now I know what I wanted to...

But are there any so advanced mods like DYP or Steph's mod? I know the X-com , Medival and fantasy but I wonder if there are more of them. You know new units with sounds and animations, new tech.....
 
well there is one more thing. In science advisor screen in modern era and the one before it, maaaany of the science boxes are missing!!! No "AVIATION" for example....

The science boxes are not missing. They are all overlapped on the top left corner...

I'm still working on the mod, the current version is beta 3, and I've ordered the techs only for the first two eras.
When you add a new unit, building or whatever, it may appear in the science advisor screen, and then you have to move everything... So I keep this part for the end, when the unit list of an era is "stable".

Beta 4 should have all the techs correctly placed, but you will have to wait , I still have many units to add to the 3rd and 4th era.
