Steph's next great project announcement

I have another idea, but it may be a bit complicated. Rivers should always be on top of forest, or they will be to difficult to spot. However, we could use some canyon graphics when the river is crossing a hill

YAY!! that would be so neat if u managed to implent that... this is going to be such a cool game :D

btw: How far have u come with the coding of the game?

The map engine and editor is working for terrain, but it uses to much memory, so I need to optimize it.

I need also to add resources, units, etc on the map, so still lots of work.

If everything runs well, I plan to release a beta editor at the end of the month, so volunteer can start making real world map.

Please read 5 posts above... It's on the same page...
I understand that some people may miss a post which is days old, and burried in the first pages.
But if every two posts I have the same question, I'm not sure I will answer every time.

nice... that will espically be good for those with slower computers I guess..

antyway.. whats up with those hills on that tundra.. im pretty sure its not supposed to be like that.. :D

BTW: Will u make it possible to use "special" terrain tiles so we can have natural landsmarks like that rock in australia and cedars of lebanon and nstuff like in C3C??

Hmm.. Interesting idea. I hadn't think of it yet. But why not? I will think about it.

Ive heard of fjords (i live in norway ;) ) but I think u went wrong somewhere... Fjords are supposed to go INTO the water not ONTO the water ;)

I volunteer to do the world map once the map editor is ready (and you are sure of it). I have always wanted to have elevation and terrain separated !!!

steph: Well u hsould still fix it.. it doesnt look good..

btw: how big will this be?? will the game be as big as civ3??

as in megabytes...
