4. Venice guarantees that it will never under any condition start a war against The Kingdom of Sicily or secretely aid an attack upon any part of The Kingdom of Sicily.

We are very upset that you have placed a verdict upon us. We started war because:
-Venice would have eventually attack our holdings on Crete
-Venice had stolen land that belongs to The Kingdom of Sicily
It was only a matter of time.
The Kingdom of Sicily acted in force to avoid a long war that would weaken the Christian Holdings in the mediterranean. Now we have offered Venice a very profitable peace deal. This would put a quick end to this war and would ensure that the christian precense in the mediterranean isn´t threatened anymore. If Venice chooses to continue this war then we can do nothing more than continue the war ourselves.
Your highness, we hope that You see this and take back the interdict and consult Venice to accept the peace deal.

An interdict (OOC: excommunicating an entire group of people) was placed upon the city of Naples to punish the Sicilians for their sins. Unless the Sicilian monarch repents and pays his dues for his sins, God and the Pontif will continue to smile on the Venetian armies. As for the Byzantines, well, they're Eastern Orthodox.
